How many MG.of oxycodone immediate release (IR) would I have to take to be the same amount as taking two 15MG.a day(30MG.)of extended release (ER) morphine MS Contin

30mg oral administration of morphine = strength orally of 30mg hydrocodone = strength of 20mg oral dosage of oxycodone. If you take two doses of 10mg of oxycodone that will be extremely close to your current morphine dosage of 30mg.

Thank you buddy I'm kind a new to this, so if I want to start weaning down hill I'm better off to be on the 30 mg of morphine a day rather than the 30 mg of Oxycodone correct? Also one being immediate release and one being extended release doesn't make a difference, there still both 30 mg a day correct?

Weaning off of longer halflife drugs will always be a smoother withdraw. Some xanax users actually use long acting benzos to wean and minimize their withdrawals. As for dose, two drugs of two different half lives, just expect the oxycodone to not last as long as the morphine ER. Say, if you expect your morphine to relieve pain 8 hours, Expect an instant release drug, such as using the equivalent strength of oxycodone in IR form, expect to have much better pain relief results but a shorter half life, so just ~4hours maybe of great relief rather than 8 hours of mild relief.
