Does anyone have advice or methods of fighting off wds. I as well as my fiance are trying to quit but I get very sad and have random crying which makes it difficult to cope and she just gets over all depression... I know it just takes time but does anyone have advice on helping ease these symptoms? I know everyone knows about wd here so I will take any advice you guys can give.

a bit of background is we just get any pills we can get our hands on from vicodin to dilaudids for about a year now...

L-Theanine will help calm your nerves, weed will also do the same. I've heard of Vitamin C helping but I think it's bogus.

You are going to HAVE to taper, that being said we have no idea on how to tell you to do this or offer further suggestions if we don't know your tolerance and frequency of use, ie... how much do you take at a time and how often, twice a week, once a day? every few hours? utlimately you must reduce your dose a little at a time till your maintained on such a tiny amount that it will be virtually painless to quit, it is not advised to quit cold turkey if you are on high doses and such. Depending on the size of your habit suboxone therapy may be adviseable, you can look up sub doctors at http://www.suboxone.com
good luck and stay healthy

_ or methadone clinic? it took me about 8 or 9 moths to taper from 90mg... the hardest is the end....

you have to absolutely want to stop... and it is a long process...

but i seriously tried to quit smoking with patches and gums and simply couldn', my determnation was the same, but its a LOT harder

I know the cravings will always be there but how long does this depression last. We do about 20mg of oxy a day give or take on certain days some times double some times less... What are your guy's experience
with the emotional duration of wd... I got a high tolerance but we just don't really do that much compared to many on this site

This is something I'm sure you don't want to hear but I think the best thing for you guys would be some sort of rehab. I tried several times to stop but the longest I haven't used was after rehab. I did that at the beginning of this year and am still clean. It's your future. You need a place where you have to learn how to live w/o using. At home you'll always be able to find a way to use when the times get tough. At a rehab if the times get tough you will need to utilize your own coping skills and once you leave you'll be happy to be clean and will have a much better chance at staying clean.

I know several people that went to the same place I did and they are all still clean. I can't say that about people who tried other avenues.
