Hey guys, I had my friend shoot me up and he missed some of it. I'm guessing it was just some of it because I still got a rush.

It burned a little bit while it was happening, and after like 5-10 minutes i got a small had lump under the skin. It's not discolored and you can't see it, but if I run my finger across my arm you can feel it. It hurts to the touch (not badly) and I can feel it a bit when I extend my arm. It's about the size of the tip of my finger.

Anyway, nothing like this has happened to me before (I've never missed before), and I'm really worried about. My friends have missed shots before and they insisted it will go away in a day or two. I ran warm water over it for a few minutes after, and took some ib profine.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm not going to shoot up anymore.

Edit:
Oh, and it's been around 5 hours now. It's hard to tell if it's gotten better at all cause I cant see it, just feel it. It doesn't hurt much any more when I extend my arm. It was a small shot as well, probably around .05 - .075 of h in it.

i honestly wouldn't worry too much about it. warm compresses should help with the pain and getting any solution trapped under the skin to dissipate. keep an eye on it and do a search for abscesses, either here or on google. if it starts to look like something you see in a picture, go to the e.r. but this has happened to me dozens of times and nothing ever came from it. you might get a bruise, but i doubt anything worse than that.

Usual treatment is warm compress to help dissolve any drug and the bump should go down, however most times it does so well within 5h. I suppose it could just be swelling or thrombosis now. Anyways just monitor for signs of abscess or infection (basically if anything gets worse). In the future if you feel burning during a shot you should stop.

Have a read through this Injection; IV Complications and Information MEGATHREAD and FAQ II - show me the blood and if you have any questions direct them there.

I'm going to close this now as I don't think we can help you any further and these type of 'please help me I missed a shot' threads aren't really allowed.

Feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns regarding this closure.
