Help me get into weed again

Its really up to you on how much you smoke, just do what your comfortable in, I've had potent weed that took ages to creep on so take it slow.

I smoked weed for a year and never once had a bad experience. However, one time I smoked and I had a severe panic attack, and its caused some pretty bad anxiety problems for me. I got this incredibly uncomfortable sensation that the room was flipping vertically, and I felt like I was falling over. I couldn't tell where the ground was. I smoked straight Indica nugs that time. Because of that experience, I wasn't able to smoke afterwards due to anxiety problems, so I quit. Its been about 4 months.

What I'm wondering is should I maybe try to get a hold of some weed that is mostly Sativa and see if I can enjoy weed again? Would I experience extreme anxiety on Sativa, or does that mostly occur from Indica weed? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

I smoked weed for about 5 years without incident, and then one time I had a severe panic attack. I was sure I was having a heart attack. We were actually on our way out the door to go to the emergency room when it suddenly abated enough for me to stay home.

I figured it was an isolated incident so I smoked again a few weeks later. The result was ANOTHER severe panic attack.

I quit for theb eter part of three years, only taking the occasional very small hit as a test, and then stopping when I started to feel mild panic setting in.

Then, just as abrubtly as they came, they left, and I was able to smoke again (THREE YEARS after the first panic attack).

This is not that uncommon, at least not among people I know. I met two other friends with the EXACT same story and I know several with similar stories.

Don't push it if you start to feel any panic setting in.
 
Start with a joint. Take one medium or small puff, exhale and put the joint out. Keep doing this until you get where you want.

Oh ok, great idea. I was going to pack a very small bowl in a pipe and see where that takes me, but I really like this idea. Thanks :D

Hahaha yeah, I think I'm going to take it very slow =D
 
Panic attacks are not fun.
But I solve them quite simply.
Smoke more weed.
Become so stoned you haven't got a clue about anything.

But don't take my advice.
It may not end well.
 
I apologize in advance if ive said something stupid or repetitive as ive not read the whole thread but my suggestion is to just take it slow, maybe only pack a few hits and see how you feel. You can always go from there, its not like acid or something where after a little another dose will not really do anything due to quickly building (and fading) tolerance. Pack it up, hit it a bit and see if you enjoy where your at, if not smoke some more and get skeeeedd =D

A friend of mine has smoked weed like 3-4 times and everytime its some nice buds and he'll smoke too much and have an awful panic attack. This has pretty much shyed him away from all psychoactives. He doesn't like alcohol either... but he'll chain smoke cigs all day long..

Alright, thanks for the advice. ;) I think two hits or so is going to be a good starter, then I'll wait a bit. I eventually became like your friend, and I think I would smoke a bit too much to enjoy and freak out :\
 
Well everyone, I smoked today. I started out pretty slow, packing a little bowl out of a pipe. Couple hits here and there, and ended up smoking around 2-3 bowls spread out over a while. And.... I felt great! I think I'm going to still keep it going slow for a while, but thanks for everyones advice! :D
