Googled sites in internet suggested many different solvent for final methylketimine to ketamine synthesis thermal rearrangement. High bp solvents such as 1) Decalin 2) Undecane 3) Ethyl Benzoate 4) Ethylene Glycol. etc.

They also claimed most high bp solvents yield normally less than 50% except Ethylene Glycol with claims to have yield around 75%.

some suggested :Temperature from 160 degree C , 180C to 195 degree C

some suggested Time for reflux from 60 min to 4 hr!!!

Knowing that during the thermal arrangement , many Tar will crash out and loosing a lot of the product.

Can anybody tell me which is the best solvent to use, what temperature and duration for best optimium yield without loosing so much product.

Thanks.:)

Sorry, we don't allow or support clandestine synthesis projects like that. Read the rules, if its not explicitly in em, it should be.

Welcome to bluelight though, hopefully we'll see you around keeping within boundaries :)
