Not sure how this works... But my "I" started shooting up for a little while. He took a 3 month break and is back at it. He feels like he's doing it wrong. He gets white powder. Takes the powder, pours some into the spoon (not sure if it's enough?), fills up the rig a little bit and shoots the water into the spoon. Puts the cap back on and mixes up the water. Takes the cap off, and fills the rig up but feels like all of it isn't getting into the rig. Next he hits the vein, waits for the little pop, and then draws a little bit of blood. He shoots it up, it burns a little bit, but doesn't feel the rush or really even that high when doing it. Is he not putting enough in? Is he missing? What's the issue? He was balls to the wall months ago, but now he feels he's better off snorting.

I think you should be a good ''friend'' and tell your friend to stop the drugs

It is probably an issue of missing if snorting produces more pronounced effects, assuming you got all the drugs in a solution properly. It's not uncommon to push yourself through the vein once you start pushing the plunger, especially if your technique (for example the angle of the needle to your vein) isn't that great.

Welcome to Bluelight!

As the above poster stated it sounds like your missing. Does the area have any soreness or red color when you are finished? If the same amount from the same batch produces better effects by snorting it must be an issue with technique, do you have someone who could assist you in doing it, maybe point out the error. It is hard to give someone advise on how to do this properly over the internet, we have an entire collaborative thread on proper technique, perhaps someone can link it (sorry at work trying to be stealth)

You may also want to consider this as the time to not start shooting up as believe me it starts off ok but never ends well.

I use a 30 gauge needle. When I do it, i push it in and draw the blood. When I'm done a little bit of blood comes out, but it's not red. It sometimes gets sore. But I definitely feel like I'm hitting the vein: idk if it's the solution or what. I hit the inside part ontop of my elbow, and when I shoot sometimes it burns. And yeah I know shooting is bad, but I've been doing heroin for YEARS. I go on and off. I just burned out a bundle, didn't get toasted once so I'm just gonna take my break - but I'd much rather shoot up then snort these days. Much more worth it. I know where the path leads, and I should stop but that's my own choice. Just want help on doing it right. If someone can send me a link on some tips that'd be great. I can find any good guides or anything to help me out. And I don't know anyone else who uses dope, so I'm on my own with this shit. A video would be helpful.

Guys.... Thank you for all the help but I fucking figured out the goddam answer. It's so simple that it blew my mind. Literally when I poked the hole in me the needle would be far in, like too far it seemed: I flipped the needle around (having the bevel face me) and literally it made a 100% difference. T. Calderone -- Thank you for those posts. It honestly saved me a ton of fucking money lol. Thanks for all the responses guys. Who woulda known... Flip the needle around and it gets you high LMAO.

You should have known to have the bevel face you before you went ahead and stuck a needle in your arm. My opinion. Not the kind of thing you wanna attempt without knowing proper procedure.

Saved you a ton of fucking money? Save you a ton of fucking health is what that did. By white powder, I assume you mean cocaine, and cocaine is rough on the veins when you get it in the vein, let alone when you inject into the wall of your vein or into subcutaneous tissue. Misses are an an IDU's worst enemy behind unhygienic IV technique. They can cause abscesses (sterile as well as infected), thrombophlebitis, permanent tissue damage of veins (like when shot into the wall of the vein), nerves, muscles, and skin, gangrene followed by amputation or death, compartmental syndrome which can also lead to amputation, etc.

Edit, and that little bit of blood means you got a partial register (which you would get some kind of a rush which would be a little downtuned and stretched out a little smoother), you barely knicked the vein, or as we found out, you're just sticking the needle in, bevel whichever way are are injecting, more than likely , directly into the wall of the vein.

You used to shoot up, but you never had this issue before?

If the places you're hitting are halfway decent, a tiny pull should warrant a decent flashback. This will vary depending on substance as well as viscosity of the solution being shot.

I guess it just happened that way when I first started. May have been etiquette I just forgot about, but ohwell. And yeah it was also a big health issue I bet. It didn't feel right, the needle was way too far in, yadda yadda. Thank god I noticed before I kinda just thought "oh well" and thanks for the help and support guys. Shitty that it's like that, but I don't do this shit that much, and I shoot up only when I buy enough. Snorting lasts longer and is better most the time I feel like. Shooting up is just that initial rush, and then it just kind of dies really quickly. Snorting I get the nods and most of what I'm looking for. And by white powder I meant China White heroin. I stopped speedballing a long time ago. It was a huge dent in my pocket lol, and I messed up real bad one time and scared the shit out of myself. Wish I knew someone who would've taught me, but shyt happens. The community here is great.
