Hey, I just want some input please don't lecture because what's done is done ;)

I am new to IVing..not new to opiates at all.

My tolerance is around 7 bags east coast stamp bags sniffed of average dope (like a 5 rating from the east coast stamp review thread) per dose.

Anyway..last weekent I made the 10 minute drive through the Holland Tunnel to grab some needles. Fucked around with IVing a little..didn't have much luck.

So here i am today just grabbed some more pins and got some average dope

I have two questions:

1. Where is a good place to start with IVing if I usually blow like 7-8 stamps?

Around 6pm I insufflated my normal dose (7 stamps) and just about 5 minutes ago (10pm) I IV'd 1.5 stamps (cause my pupisl were still a little pinned from the dope earlier..didnt wanna over do it). I don't think I really felt anything..no rush, don't think I am any higher

2. Would I definitely know if I missed the shot? I got 30g needles and I managed to register in the crook of my elbow, tried to stay as still as possible but my hands are shakey. I did it real slow..im pretty damn sure it was goin in, probably just too low a dose?

This has been covered a million times but whats your opinion on the easiest vein to find?
 
if it didn't/doesn't hurt and the plunger was easy to push in then most likely you didn't miss.

try IVing your first dose of the day then see if you get a rush. if still no, then you're doing something wrong.
 
Yeah I mean the plunger wasnt any harder to push than if the needle wasnt inserted... and there is just very very minor pain if even that..dont really feel or see much of anythign there

It became a little red for a few seconds but looks pretty normal../.cant even really see where the needle went in
 
I would do roughly 1/2 or less of your snorted dose. 2 or 3 bags IV'd should be plenty.

Always test new batches out by snorting first to be on the safe side.

Getting a friend to help can make the process go by so much easier though, it's really advisable.

If you want to learn to do it yourself, you'll need a lot of practice with sterile water first. ​

Disregard this. This is a harm reduction site, man. Telling someone to shoot in their neck when they are inexperienced with IV is just plan idiotic.

I learned how to shoot properly on my own and got the hang of it rather quickly. You could practice with water or saline to get the hang of it so you don't waste any gear. Just be sure to use proper techniques and always be clean. since you sniff 7-8 bags, you should probably shoot 2-3 when you are basically sober and you should hopefully get a taste of what the rush is like. Better to start small rather than go for a 5 bag shot at first and end up ODing.

Be safe and enjoy! Though if you can stick with snorting your dope you honestly will be a lot better off in the long run since the world of IV is a whole different ballgame. Good luck.
 
Well after doing 1 bag shots last night I am getting the hang of it a little more...i usually go through like 3 needles cause itll take me like a good few tries to register at first...

After a few pokes I change th needle b ecause it slides in so much easier new. they are only fuckin 3 bucks for 10 of em too

Anyway...I decided to shoot 4 bags of AVATAR (you can find it on the heroin review thread). I think this dope is below average..someone rated it a 5 but I shot 4 bags like I said, I am 95% sure most if not all went in a vein. I registered twice. Got high pretty much instantly but no rush...def not nodding, but pupils are pinned and I feel def better than if I had sniffed the 4 bags.



And don't worry I am not dumb..not shooting in my neck lol
 
You're over there banging dope but you're not getting a rush? I'm confused, what are you doing wrong? You must know if you're hitting a vein, blood in the syringe when you pull out the plunger a bit.

I hope you get that rush that you're looking for man, stay safe
 
Yup never experienced a rush...you dont really get a rush from sniffing shit so yeah.

I might have felt a slight rush but honestly it was nothin, I mean I got high right away but I aint noddin out and I think I would know a rush if it hit me lol...

I just think 4 bags of this dope wasnt enough for a full fledged high that and my tolerance
 
Personally, I like the veins in my hands. You don't have a bunch of fucked up track marks on your arms. As long as you rotate sites, and use a fresh rig everytime (which isn't always feasible, I know) you shouldn't have any tracks on your crooks either. But I think the top of my hands are just easier. Just watch out for arteries. And if youre sniffin 7 at a time, a 2 or 3 bag shot should be fine. I'd start by doing a small tester first just to know what you're dealing with.
 
DONT IV YOUR NORMAL DOSE! that will kill you
start low and use the vein that is on your elbow bend its the easyist
 
Bang half yr dose or a little less.
As soon as you puncture flesh, pull the plunger back; blood will pour in upon hitting a vein.
Leave on yr tourniquet if you have to. try a new vein, but DON'T use in the hand or near the wrist. try the top of the arm and get short tips if you ban use them
 
why not use the hands? i do stay away from my wrists. And I'm not trying to start an argument or being a smart ass, I'm just wondering your reasoning. I could be doing something that I need to avoid, but I've had nurses place IV's in my hands and they've done it there when I used to donate plasma. I know Im not a nurse but I can usually tell the difference between a vein and an artery.
I def. don't want to keep doing something that could harm me though, and I wouldn't tell anyone else to do it if I knew it would harm them. I've been bangin for about 6 years now.
