Okay so I scraped the resin from my pipe, added vinegar and iv'd the crack, but I noticed a bunch of metal particulate from the filter in the cooker as well. Now I double filtered until I got a clear solution but I was wondering what are the health repercussions of iv'ing oxygenated steel wool? I'd like to keep my arm and go to the ER ASAP if it is serious.

Thank you.

Please DO NOT do this.

If you want to get the resin out of the pipe just heat it until the resin runs down into the steel wool. Then you can heat the steel wool and smoke it. Simple.

You should seek medical attention.

Do not waste time asking us about possible side effects.

Instead, ask a trained medical professional about possible treatment options.

This. We have no way to know whether or not any little bits of the metal got into your syringe that you perhaps just didn't see. There is no way we can really give you an accurate answer about the risks so it's best to seek medical attention to get an educated answer about how you should proceed, monitoring if deemed necessary, etc.

Exactly. Keep this in mind for next time I guess.

As for right now.....none of us can tell you if you'll be okay so your best bet is to seek medical attention.

What does the IV site look like? Are you having any adverse side effects?

It isn't a matter of a gnarly looking injection site or a fever and deciding to go to the ER when you wake up tomorrow, it's a matter of going now so you don't possibly die.

ABSTRACT

Despite the interest in identifying systemic effects caused by the metallic particles released from long term metallic implants in the body, few works support reliable conclusions about the effects of those particles in organs. The aim of the present work is to look for damages in tissues of liver, kidney, lung and heart of rats submitted to injection of Hank's solution contained particles of Ti6Al4V alloy and Stainless Steel 316L, obtained by metal friction. The particles size ranges from 50 to 200 µm for the Ti alloy and from 100 to 500 µm for the 316L. Tissues isolated from the organs after the euthanasia were prepared and analyzed in an optical microscope and Energy Dispersive Spectrometer (EDS). Lesions caused by an inflammatory response such as strange body epithelioid granuloma and giant cells were found in some of the tissues containing yttrium and aluminum.

Misleading thread title.

You didnt shoot crack you shot resin, and traces of combustion.......

If you are lazy you can always push the "steel wool" through the resin with a coat hanger, the steel wool gets coated in resin.

Also, do not inject vinegar.

I see you signed off, OP. Here's to hoping you're getting yourself checked out, but either way let us know how you're doing.

If this thread gets closed, shoot me a PM.

Closed. Seek immediate medical attention as you have been told a fair number of times. Please use the PM me link in my signature once you see how things work out and I'll be happy to reopen this for you.

I wish you the best. <3
