So it looks like I may have finally landed on some legit MDxx!
http://www.pillreports.com/index.php?page=display_pill&id=21282

When marquis was first applied, the reagent bubbled a bit and started to darken.
After about 10 seconds there was a solid black/dark purple reaction.
There's also a hint of red in the test results.

Could the bubbling mean this is possibly MDxx + pipes? What does the red mean?

Keep in mind my reagent is about a year old and I just store it on the shelf.

The user, we r1 left some good advice there ;)

It could mean your kit is old, it could mean they have pipes. It's kinda hard to say. phase_dancer once told me a good indicator is color of the solution. If it turns beer colored, it's kind of old. But if it's old, it's kind of hard to say if it's just because of the age or if it's a dirty pill. How long has it been since you tested a good pill? It's best to store test kits in the 'fridge to extend shelf life.

I've had the same testing kit for over a year, and it's been at least 6 months since I tested a good pill. My kit just sits on my shelf I guess I should have stored it in the fridge.

It still looks like a solid reaction, it would be pretty hard for me to throw it out. It has to have some MDxx in it, I hope it's not over powered by pipes...

Alright well I just tested some sugar with my Marquis and it gave a pretty poor reaction.
Guess it's time for a new kit.
