yeah probably not a good idea to do without researching. :\

i didn't miss or anything like that, but my arm is in a lot of pain around that area. there's no bruise or anything, but i'm kind of worried.

do i need to go and get help?

Uhmmmm you didn't know if you were supposed to do that or not? I'd go get help immediately, it is possible you have clogged an artery. The general rule is: DON'T IV PILLS

Were these the pre-prepared ampules, or did you try to inject a pill?

If a pill, did you use any alcohol to dissolve the diazepam? How did you prepare this?

If you just mixed up a pill with water and sucked it up into a syringe, well, thats not real great. Benzos are not exactly the most water-soluble of substances. Hopefully you did not inject all the pills binders and crap too. If you are concerned, you might want to go to a doctor. Solids could be blocking a vessel.

yes this is what i did. i filtered it but that's about it. stupid i know, i don't need any reminders of that, my arm is telling me how stupid it was.

blocked vessels... is that like life threatening? its good friday and really hard to get to a doctor.

^It isn't hard to get to an emergency room. If you are concerned, I realize it's embarrassing as hell but you probably should get medical attention. You wouldn't want any worst case scenarios when it comes to your veins or your limbs.

And please don't shoot pills. Any pills. Ever again.

Best to you. Hopefully it's just a bit of pain, but to be on the side of safety I know doctors have seen a lot worse and you'd be best seeing a professional about it. If the pain gets sharper and more intense, the sooner you see a doctor the better.

Take care,

Mariposa

will they have to do an operation if its blocked?

i won't do it again, i hadn't even put anything in my veins for 3 months, was just a bit drunk and stupid and reckless last night.

I don't know what they'd do.

If you did this last night and it still hurts, go to the doctor. Hell, if you did this 30min ago and it still hurts I'd go.

If you blocked an artery they might actually amputate it if it's seriously that bad. If you go early enough you might not need to get it amputated, so go ASAP!

don't say amputation!

there's just one particularly bad spot the rest of the arm seems ok
alright i guess i better sort something out?

I don't know dude, if one of your veins or something IS in fact clogged in your arm, and you break it apart somehow but it clogs again in your heart, that equals cardiac arrest (heart attack) for you

It depends on how bad the pain is hon. I've had shots where I've expereinced pain for a few days after but then it goes away on its own accord. If the site is red, swollen, hot, itchy and/or weeping then go see a doc. If not and there's just pain leave it 2-3 days and treat it with savlon or something similar.

If you're veins do collapse in your forearm it won't be the end of the world anyway. Other, smaller veins will take over the job of conducting the extra blood around. Guess the main problem would be in hospital when they're trying to get a needle in your arm and having no luck!

AmnesiaSeizure, that is potentially very dangerous advice, that could lead to an embolism which could stop the original poster's heart if he/she is unlucky.

Dude, get your arse the ER FAST, for that exact reason.

If I were you I would take 100mg of aspirin, watch for any numbness or discolouration very closely. I would say you had a slight miss or your veins are irritated. However you may develop a clot that could prove very dangerous. If you get numbness or discolouration, get ur arse to an ER ASAP !!

I have to disagree Limp, in the original post, all that was said was that there was pain. No swelling, redness, itchyness or anything other than pain. I'm an IV user myself and have had a number of incidents very similar to this. It just really didn't seem like there was too much to worry about as she wasn't saying there was pain in her chest or anywhere else.

I can totally accept that I'm worng and that there may be probles that her symtoms could easily point to - if anyone knows of any, put me straight. However, I can only go on what was in the post in the first place.

As IV drug users, we often get pains and probles here and there that go away over 90% of the time.

Like i say though, apologies if others generally think I was out of line.

He was definitely taking a risk and being pretty dumb but we've all been there - I IV'ed 1mg lorazepam with heroin once and, although the expereince was great, I got a large long lasting bruise around the whole area. Took over a week to fully go.

did it at least get ya high? valium is a weak benzo but something like xanax, I bet ya could get enough in the water to get ya a bit high but thats not a wise thing to do.

^yeah this may seem like a stupid question, but did this procedure produce any beneficial effects?

Out of curiosity, how many pills did U IV. Do you regularly IV pills. What made you think that this is such a splendid idea.
