ok so quick background info on me... in the past i have been shooting opiates for 4 years. i went to rehab twice and got off them once cause now i am banging them again. i posted a thread earlier about if it would be safe to use a pink cotton ball as a filter. instead i used a q-tip that i found instead of a cigarette filter. after i injected myself i got high and then my vision went on me. everything is so blurry its really hard for me to see anything. btw the opiate is delaudid i shot 8 mgs. i took a short nap when i nodded off and my eyes are still fucked. i can see when i look at something but if i dont look away its really blurry and THIS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE.
is it possible i fucked up with the filtering process and my vision is gonna be like this permanently or will it go away?? because i dont feel high anymore and my eyes are still messed up, does anyone know what im talking about? Im really worried only cause this never happened to me before and i have been iv'ing for some time now in the past.

I get blurry vision all the time when on opiates, it does dilate ur pupils to pinpoints, common side effect while taking opiates, whether u feel high or not

Happened to me a few days ago when I took Ativan (Lorazepam) with my shot of H.
Just lay down and get some rest, you'll be fine.

My eyes can get all sorts of blurry when I use opiates. Even more so if I've smoked weed as well. It usually never lasts much longer then 5 to 8 hours depending on if I keep dosing or not... You should be okay. I've never heard of a cotton messing with your eyes.. Most important though is to not panic though because nerves gonna cause you to feel like all sorts of things are happening.

yeah i would think your okay and just got a side effect of the opiate use. if you still feel like your vision is blurry 24 hours later i would certainly think something is wrong and go to an ER.

q tip is something ive used many many times. i doubt that would cause a problem. however i have no exp with shooting dilaudid, im not sure how u properly prep them or anything.

Make sure to drink water too, you may be getting dehydrated.

I agree, this sounds like a problem with your pupils being pinned.

thanks for the replies guys, my vision is fine now thank goodness. it gives me relief to hear others have experienced really blurry eye problems as well. its just weird cause i have iv'ed so much and it was the first time this happened. wtf lol

yeah ive had eye issues, jsut not exactly like u said. sometimes i would kind of go cross eyed, or have some trouble seeing if i didnt close my right eye. u just got high, real high im geussing. is dilaudid common for u to use?

Yeah it was similar but worse than what you described.Lol and yes i did get really high loved the rush!!! It was the first time i shot a dilly in like 3 years, but i have shot oxy like 2 days ago with no problems. I really dont get it.?

Don't worry like everyone said get some extra non-opiate induced sleep. If you screwed the filter step your side affect or cotton fever would of come and gone by now. Could of been some toxins that slipped past the q-tip or bacteria. If its still blurry after three days nut up and head to the E R.

this happened to me from shooting dilaudid too, i think it's because of how intense the rush is. just seems to shock every part of your brain. it never happened when i shot heroin. i almost went to the doctor, but it came back slowly within a few hours. kinda similar feeling to when youve been massaging your eyes for too long and you open them and you can barely see.
anyway, i would definitely be careful shooting high doses of dilaudid. i don't know about it causing permanent blindness, but it gave me hearing loss. 60% in the left ear, 70% in the right ear. and it's caused 100% deafness in some users who overdose. my doctor has no idea if it will ever return to normal so this is a pretty big reason why i wanted to get off opiates so badly.

im sorry to hear that. so it ws 100% confirmed by your doctor it was delaudid that caused the deafness? i never heard of that before,

it's impossible to clinically confirm something like that. but i lost my hearing IMMEDIATELY after shooting it up. in fact, i was almost deaf for about an hour after shooting up. i was nodding out super hard and i thought i was going to die. when i came to, my hearing was pretty shitty and its been about the same ever since. i talked to my doctor about it and he said it happens, albeit rarely, to people who overdose on heroin. i've never heard of it happening to someone from dilaudid before, so i guess im the first recorded case (yay a new record). but it makes perfect sense considering heroin and dilaudid are the two phenanthrene opioids that hit the brain almost immediately. it's much safer for your brain to shoot up just about any other opiate because it takes 3-5 minutes to reach your brain. i wonder whether IV fentanyl would cause the same problem. anyway like i said i think it was the instant rush that caused damage to my brain. the opioid system is involved in the brain processes that create auditory sensation. its poorly understood but i think theres a study about it, i'll try to find it
