the biggest problem I have enkephaline is that the medical attention available could cause more harm than help. The hospitals are traumatizing. If I was in this position I would want to be taken care of through this, not tossed in a hospital to be mutilated... Problem is, we're females! She lives with him. Any suggestions on how to calm him down. I have the name brand of the site he orderd them from k&b

what you described sounds like a clear case of stimulant psychosis. your friend could at any time start physically harming himself, or the people around him. i wouldn't want to take that risk. if you seek professional help, chances are he will be hospitalized for a few days, and then sent back home again, if all is well.
Seeking medical attention is not only protecting him but also you and your female friend.
There is nothing else to do, but if you won't then don't do anything stupid, stay safe and vigilant.
Just wondering what else you would like for advice here? Try to get him to eat down a cocktail of a benzo, DPH and Haldol to knock him out like the hospital would. Probably wouldn't agree to it in his psychotic state anyway.

For future reference, if possible, it's useful to have benzos and antipsychotic drugs for situations like this.

Seriously seek medical attention ASAP, who fuckin cares if the ERs could be traumatizing. You do realize he could start getting violent at any moment right? Trust me unless you have benzos (xanax, valiums, ativan etc) nothing will stop this maybe sleep or even antipsychotics but straight up get help NOW

Yes, benzos and antipsycotics should always been on hand if your a heavy stimulant user IMHO.

This is amphetamine psychosis.
This is a psychotic disorder that is caused by heavy overuse of stimulants, commonly amphetamines but others can cause it.
Amp psychosis is characterized by symptoms indentical to those seen during other psychotic breaks like: paranoia, loss of sense of reality, delusional states, loss of short term memory and violent behaviour.
It can continue for months after drug use has stopped or last only a short period of time. Equally it can lead to longterm mental health problems.
The only thing YOU can safely do in that situation is inform the aurthorities, sign the hospital forms and keep well out of the way until the cops arrive.
You cant reason with someone in this condition because to all intents and purposes they are insane and dangerous.
Yes a mix of benzos and anti-psych drugs will calm them down and/or knock them out but a person in this state will be very paranoid and wont take kindly to being drugged and could very easily become violent.
If you need to know anything more specific then feel free to ask and ill answer if I can or goggle stimulant induced psychosis and there will be thousands of pages of information.
I hope your friend comes out of it soon and without any lasting issues.
