So, SWIM is getting 30mg MS Contin or Morphine and is interesting in shooting them up. One thing though, swim has never IV'd before in his life. He gets the the part about crushing it up as fine as possible, putting it on a spoon, and mixing it with water but is confused about the process with filtering it with cotton and everything afterwards. Could someone who has more experience help with this?

Hi, and welcome to bluelight! Please refrain from using the term 'SWIM' on here. We all know it is you and it does not protect you from law enforcement. You can use the 'edit' button to change it.
That said, if you have never IV'd anything before, I strongly urge you to reconsider that decision. Morphine and opiates in general can be enjoyed perfectly fine using other ROA's. MS Contin also gels when mixed with water, and is notoriously hard to properly prepare for injection. If you are new to IVing, you will have extreme difficulty as simply mixing with water does not work.
But, if you are interested in IV techniques and dangers, I urge you to check out THIS thread. Also check out The IV complications and FAQ mega thread. Between those threads, you'll find a wealth of knowledge on IVing, and then be able to make a properly informed decision on whether or not you still want to take the plunge.
But the simple fact is, that injecting MS Contin is nigh impossible to do safely or easily.
