help finding vein

i have hit an artery thinking it was a vein, and i wouldnt say shit will hit the fan, i mean for me i didnt need medical assistance. i was in the bathtub, and had trouble finding a vein, so i saw one on my wrist below my palm, a little blue vein, yea bright red blood went in the needle, so i thought i was good to go. so i injected it no problem. a minute later my hand swelled up from the histamine reaction from the heroin and assuming cause i hit an arterty, and for a few days i just was sore there..i have Ived in my foot, maybe it was an artery, but i did register, and i still have pain walking, and i did this weeks ago...veins are the big juicy thick wobbly ones u gotta get, not the thin ones/

This. If you hit an attery...it will be VERY painful.

When you do actually draw blood, you want to register dark thick blood.
If you register light red fluid blood, you hit an artery and shits about to hit the fan.
