Hi I am new to this site.
I am detoxing off a heavy H addiction. I was given 24mg of suboxone daily and this is my second day.
Does anyone know what to do about the cravings? I have them like every hour. Is there a way around them...I guess I have to find something I like to do...
Do they subside? And if so, when? I would really value any input.

Take a look at this thread (http://www.bluelight.org/vb/threads...egathread-and-FAQ?highlight=opiate+withdrawal) and then head over to the Sober Living/recovery support forums. There's a plethora of information around and you'll be able to buddy up with some people who are going through the same thing, which can help a ton.

The cravings will or will not subside, in my opinion, depending on whether you're more mentally addicted or physically addicted. At this stage it's both, and they will become fewer and fewer, and after the acute phase of withdrawal there are things you can do to help overcome the mental addiction you have by filling your time and thoughts with other things.

Good luck to you and hang in there.
