Apparently i posted this in drug culture.. sorry. hopefully its in the right spot now... if not, can mods help pls? =)

A few days ago, my fiance & I (daily IV bupe users) did our morning shots & after he did his, he developed a large lump on his arm about a half inch above where he inserted the needle. It has been super irritated, itching etc.. He's 100% sure he didn't miss, & we're extremely sanitary, extremely. It went down yesterday but it's back today, like a hive almost. Super red.. But like I said, he didn't miss. It isn't painful at all, just very irritated & itchy. Any clue what it is? I can post a pic..ty!

I am not a doctor & nobody but a doctor can tell you for sure what's going with his arm. With that said from the pic he looks fine. It may have been some type of histamine reaction although I've never heard of that with bupe. Also bupe is some really nasty stuff to shoot regardless of how sanitary you are being. Just search up some of the horror stories on here about shooting suboxone/subutex. There is really nothing to gain from IVing it, there is no rush or high for a daily user. Just seems like a lot of risk with little reward to me.

Do u have a link for the IV bupe info? Pls & ty ;)

Actually Bupe kicks in QUITE a bit faster when IVd. You basically feel it right away, but this is only detectable if the user is already in moderate withdrawal. I've had some serious hives break out on my arms that looked just like that, with total numbing of the entire arm whilst thinking i was going to die. Was just histamine release, though.
