Help: are there any drugs that produce a similar feeling to being drunk/intoxicated?

liquid g is very very close to being drunk but u have to b very very carefull with it. u could scoop out and you r pretty much passed out can not b woken up and if u r a girl u could very easily b taken advantage of. on the other hand if you r around close friends g can b really fun. it doesnt take much just a cap full. i just went back and was reading some other posts just saying in my opinion and to many of my friends g is very very similiar to being drunk.just my opion though

i think that methaqualone is the king of all GABAergics. it produces lovely euphoria, a clean intoxication, and makes sex even more fun.

if only it wasn't a schedule 1 controlled substance...

other than ludes its secobarbital or temazepam. i never cared much for GHB as it feels almost exactly like alcohol with only sightly more euphoria and uncomfortable nausea, plus its very easy to pass out or black out on G.

benzos, exactly like being drunk without the nausea...they both affect the GABA receptors..
..valium and klonopin are the most like the alcohol for me, i love their anxiolytic effects

Being drunk is way more than just GABA-a agonism.

There is at least 6 other receptors that alcohol affects.

Benzos only really carry the anxiety ridding effects, with very little ataxia.

Someone said that alcohol intoxication doesn't induce euphoria at all. Well I'm sorry but what have I been drinking then? It's always been a mildly euphoric experience when I get drunk, lot's of giggling, laughter, smiles and just overall contentness. Nothing like an MDMA type of euphoria, but a euphoric feeling nonetheless.

Yes and no at the same time.

NMDA antagonism is part of ethanol's overall effects, but it is still only part of a whole.

The closest to being drunk without drinking is a combo.

1. High 1st plateau Dextromethorphan dose = Body tactile and vision change of ethanol.

2. A good sedating dose of Carisoprodol = Sedation of ethanol.

This is fairly safe to do...

These two at the same time should get you fairly close to mimicking a ethanol high, plus and minus a tidbit here and there...

I found soma/carisoprodrol and phenprobamate are fairly close to alcohol in terms of effects... but not everyone gets the same effects off of soma (probably due to metabolism differences, since it's just a prodrug for meprobamate), and not many people have tried phenprobamate.

They aren't quite like it, but they're pretty similar (for me at least)

Seroquel will sedate you to another world, but there can be negative and sometimes permanent psychological effects.

like what? Maybe I could find the info online but it wouldn't be from u. Plus I'm a little benzd. Plus, it wouldn't be coming from you.

the only drug i can think of that mimicks alcohol SO SIMILIARILY is ButalBital (barbiturates) feels just like being drunk, i mean literally, not a smoother buzz, it feels literally like alcohol...not a fan of either

The faster acting barbiturates can feel similar to alcohol intoxication.

IMO any barb feels like being drunk once effects peak, but the faster acting ones cause more euphoria and are more recreational(esp. secobarbital).

slow acting barbs like phenobarbital will feel like being drunk once it fully kicks in, but it dosn't have the pleasurable euphoric effects of fast acting ones like secobarbital or pentobarbital.

i guess thats why fast acting barbs are schedule 2 controlled substances and slow acting barbs are schedule 4...

MDMA as in ecstasy.
