Help! About to inject heroin for 1st time.. safety tips/how to??

You're going to clean the needle after getting rid of the insulin right? There are tons of threads on how too shoot up on this site just look around. Good luck and be safe.
 
I have looked at many different gudies but they talk about what to do for different types of heroin, and I dont know what kind of have.
Or the guide over looks the simple things like which way to inject towards my hand or my shoulder..

Thats the only reason I asked here.

And i plan to clean the needle but with what i dont know..

people use the crook of their elbow for a reason, its the easiest vein to hit.

read about registering, get a 28, 29, or 30 g syringe

DO NOT DO A DIME BAG UNLESS YOU HAVE A LARGE TOLERANCE, START WITH A QUARTER DIME AS A TESTER AND GO FROM THERE.

Point the needle upward toward your shoulder parralel to your arm, as soon as you puncture your skin pull backwards, it creates a vaccuum and when you pierce a vein blood will flow in automatically, now release your tournicet and press down slowly, if you feel any pain re-register and make surre your in a vein.

YOU SHOULD NOT SHOOT UP ITS A REALLY REALLY BAD IDEA
 
so... if blood flows outward I would want to inject like the attached image shows (the direction the needle is in the picture)
Pointing Downward toward my hand..??

Im so confused one says upward but the other says the direction my blood flows..

So the steps I understand are:

Get the drug
Put it in large spoon
add water (30units)
heat with lighter
stir a little
put cotton ball in the mix
stick needle in cotton ball
draw up contents
clean injection site
stick vien, (dont know what direction)
draw back to pull blood, if no blood stick again
inject 10u-20u/Second

Missing anything?

And I do have a tolerance, I could do 5-7 bags intranasually but I have been clean 21 going on 22 days now...

you need the needle to be pointing towards your elbow and up towards your shoulder. like a doc/nurse does when taking blood
 
Stick with snorting it, the high lasts longer.

Don't IV by yourself, get a friend who has experience to help.

BTW

I would attempt IVing sterile saline before you shoot heroin. Most people would not know how to hit their veins without some practice first. If you're confident you can hit your veins than be careful.
 
also, aside from what everyone else mentioned..how you hold the needle makes a big difference too

IMO it's best if you hold it between your thumb and your index and ring finger, and use your pointer finger and index finger to pull the plunger up and down

someone had posted a picture here once

you know what would be really helpful, good high res videos of people shooting up and shit, like how to hold th eneedle etc..
 
One thing that has not been mentioned is testing for purity. This is quite easily achieved.
Simply put a small amount on some aluminum foil and "chase the dragon" ie: melt the H from underneath and inhale the vapor as the melted H runs downhill.
The two main things to note here is:
1. The trail left behind. This should be relatively clean on the first run. This means there will be a brown film left behind but very slight and even. The cleaner the trail the better.
2. The flavor. What can I say here but if you have some experience you will know what tastes "right".
If it has been cut with a little glucose you will be able to taste this but glucose is no real danger as far as shooting up goes.
