Hi, my names Paul and I am writing a site on drugs and looking to portray a point of view of a drug user. As an ex addict I guess I have a prejudiced opinion but still know a lot about the scene. I was taking a lot of the research chemicals when they were legal in the UK. I was on a lot of drugs in the past and had to quit and am willing to answer questions if anyones interested.

This is the link to the page with the links to the other articles. I guess where I would like to go with it is to have a site that shows the viewpoint of the war on drugs. I guess I'm just wondering what peoples opinions are and if there is any topics you'd think are worth writing about. I'm still in the process of making it but would like some feedback on the topics before buying advertising.

Hi Paul, welcome to Bluelight. I think you'll find if you look around the forum we have an enormous wealth of information on all aspects of drug use and culture, probably the single largest collection of such data and experiences anywhere on the internet.

In terms of your own website's mission, you'll probably find we're collecting and discussing essentially the same media reporting and news (albeit with an international rather than just UK slant) in Drugs in the Media forum. So if you were looking for ideas, that might be something to check out.

Also, I would say that as an ex user, you're in a great place to write about your own experience, and then use information you collect about others to reinforce or develop that picture. Probably the best thing to do is spend some time reading the various forums (Drug Culture, Trip Reports, the focus forums, and especially the Recovery Support Forums), and then to start posting and chatting with the huge user base here to get whatever understanding it is that you're seeking.

Good luck,
CFC
