Hi. I used to be on this site years ago but it's changed a bit. I know there are plenty of threads that can help me and I didn't really mean to start a new thread but I really couldn't find another choice. Shortly, I am prescribed Dilaudid 8mg every 4 hrs and Opana ER 20mg every 8 hrs. I've been on opiates for a long time due to medical issues and recently had my colon out in June so my pain is legit. Problem is, I'm so opiate tolerant nothing seems to be working as it used to. The Opana is new but o got the reformulated crap so doesn't work as great but still better than MS Contin. She's had me on Fentanyl Patches and used to be on Oxycodone till she switched me to Diluadid in May. Basically I'm on here to see if I can get any advice on how to get more out of my pills. My pain dr is great and she would change anything if she thought it would help. Not only would I like more pain control but I ain't gonna lie, more euphoria too. I miss that euphoria. I've snorted and took 2 Diluadid sand nothing. Tried to potentiates with Tagamet and grapefruit juice and nothing. Since I have no colon I'm not sure if plugging will work. Not into iv but if I get to know you I'll talk about it. Anyway, just saying hi and any advice on my meds would be aporeciated and sorry about starting the new thread. My fault. Take care and thanks!

Maybe potentiate with a benzo or pregablin/gabapentin? I know the latter combo is supposed to synergise well.

Otherwise, you're body is so tolerant that short of banging your opiates, you're not gonna feel too much. :/

Tomorrow morning at pain clinic I'm switching from my Dilaudid to Oxycodone 15mg 6x day. To me the dilaudid said are just too short acting. I really need pain relief and we wanted Opana ir 10mg but my insurance doesn't cover it but it covers my Opana ER 20mg. Girl on phone said its really weird. She looked for comparable and came up with codiene sulfate. I was like uh no. So I asked about oxy and it's covered so with my doc permission I'll move back. I just remember oxy being better and longer. Plus oral bio is great. Last time I was on these I screwed up my tolerance. Not again. Opana ER is starting to work better. I got the reformulated crap. Oh well. If it takes some pain down I'm good with it. Some people out here would never give up dillies for oxy but I need high bio orally, not railing or iv them. Sometimes I want that simple euphoria I used to get but my tolerance is so high, just where I'm at. I do take kolonopins too. 3 1mg X day. They do their job well and I can't complain. Y'all be safe!!
