Hi all! I've been posting, mostly in BDD, but I figured I would take the time to introduce myself.

My friends call me Wez. I'm 27 and live in the Midwest/Californa (back and forth and all over the place. I'm semi-nomadic, see :))
I'm a mostly opiate user and have been on and off for about seven years. IV. In the last year something has gone wonky with my nervous system so I'm currently prescribed gabapentin, milnacipran, ropinirole, tizanidine, aripiprizole and escitalopram. Just got a major cut from my doc though, with my pain meds and a few of those. I'm not sure if this is how normal introductions go, but I guess if anybody needs advice about opiates or any of the above meds, I'm your girl.

I'm excited to get to know some of you. :)

Thanks, guys! These boards and the site itself are so informative and enlightening, and I love that there's no discrimination as far as current/past use. I feel like I can put all my acquired drug knowledge to some good use in a positive, harm reduction manner, which is something I've always been kind of passionate about. It's great to have a place to do that and still discuss other non-drug related topics.
 
Howdy, Wez! I am also new to BL and have yet to do my own introduction. I will get around to it when I get the chance, but I wanted to give an encouraging HELLO to a fellow BL newbie. :) Good for you for wanting to do some good with your most likely extensive drug knowledge. I to am in the same boat, but I'm strictly opiates only besides weed, but who counts that? ? Lol. Welcome welcome!

Health wise, I have degenerative disc disease (4 herniated/bulging discs, spondylosis (osteoarthritis in the lumbar area) and spinal stenosis (the discs are pushing on my spinal cord/spinal nerves). I also have fibromyalgia so a lot of nerve pain and fatigue.
Drug wise, I've been an IV heroin user on and off for years. Currently I'm doing heroin/hydromorphone/morphine about one to three times per week and am prescribed quite a bit of hydrocodone (though I just got cut off and have to go to the new pain clinic - I've been through two and had all the injections they offer; nothing has worked.) so I'm mostly an opiate girl. Occasionally I'll do a speedball, though that's pretty rare.
 
Hey wezface! Nice to have you here. So sorry to hear about all the pain you're going through. I have some of the issues you mentioned and I am an opiate girl myself, so I can totally relate.
 
Hey wez... I saw your avatar on your post in the lope thread, and you totally look like an old friend of mine! Kinda a coincidence you're a nomad too, she and were in new Orleans, Vegas, San Diego and then back to the east coast together. Ya exude the same kindness she did too.
I know I'm technically newer, but wanted to saw welcome anyway! Hope the pain gets as easy to bear as it can;). I've MS, so believe me, I feel where you're coming from!
