I just found you yesterday by chance and liked the information I found on some drugs, especially tramadol and also pregabalin, about which there is little information on the web. I was hooked on tramadol but being prescribed pregabalin made it very easy to quit. Now I'm hooked on pregabalin, the initial high has worn off and though I am thinking of stopping it I get depressed whenever I miss a dose. This is not good as I'm bipolar, my last bout with really bad depression lasted for two years and I don't want to go back there.
I also take lamotrigine, a very low dose of amitriptyline and bromazepam.
My interest at the moment is to find out as much as I can about pregabalin - it seemed to help with depression and lack of motivation but not anymore and it's only been 3 months since I started taking it.
I didn't even know you existed. Thanks to all those who work to keep the site going and to those through whose research the rest of us can learn so much.

Nice to meet you! :D

Welcome to Bluelight. I hope you find out the information you came here to find. Just FYI, I have found a lot of useful information within using google to locate certain substances' corresponding wikipedia pages.

There are also lots of excellent threads here as well which have lots of information.

hi anaenlima, CH

i don't mean to butt in, but i'm new too and also interested in info about pregabalin. i have taken it for social anxiety, find it works good for me. but i switched to a related drug, gabapentin (Neurontin), because the lyrica is a bit strong. i have been cautious to not use it too regularly, but your comments are the first i've heard of problem with dependency/withdrawal. see, you are already contributing to this great resource! thanks for joining.

peace

Welcome to bluelight... I had a pretty serious bout with depression... I have taken gabapentin before but it was more recreational... so I'm not much help on this specific question....

Have you been seeing a psychiatrist or just a general practitioner?

Welcome to Bluelight Anaenlima :) We're happy to have you here.

You can always request that the doctor lower the dosage so it doesn't give you the same intense feeling you used to get from it.

I hope gabapentin works well for you, I don't actually have any personal experience with those two drugs though.
