I belong to a race of carbon based animals that live on a small, wet, rocky planet we call Earth, in a universe we haven't named, on the outer edge of a spiral galaxy we call the Milky Way. We have evolved verbal communication, self-awareness, culture, and some technology. It's around 14 billion years after when we think things started in this universe. We create social dynamics that occupy our time, and we live short lives searching for pleasurable experiences. Our chemical makeup is highly susceptible to being driven by emotional and hormonal demands. We build things and travel small distances now, but I am one of billions, and we grow in numbers faster than our environment supports. We will shoot out, and if this universe can support us, we will grow. We are good at that.
