Hi,

Just a quick hello. Been using the site for a good while now, thought I'd sign up and say hi.

I enjoyed the rave scene back in the 90's, then life happened (kids, job, boring crap etc). Kids are now grown up and I've recently re-kindled my love of the dance music scene and all its perks :D. Being sensible and all that though, I wanna make sure I use caution. Have been really glad to learn about testing kits, and hear other peoples experiences, and learn about what drugs are out there these days. Man, things have changed in 20 years!!

So yeah, just that really. Hi :)

Hi Alice,
Welcome aboard from a former raver myself. We used to go out every weekend underground when I lived in San Diego. Great to have you here. Please feel free to ask me any questions about the site. Things have indeed changed ! ! :)

Thanks for the welcome Smoky. May I ask, do you still enjoy the occasional night, or have you hung up your glowsticks for good? I'm in my late 30's so still feel very willing and able to have the occasional night, but have decided I need to use more caution than I did back in the day, partly because I'm older and wiser, partly because it feels like the right thing to do health-wise at my age. I'm limiting my big nights out to once every 2 months to ensure I'm keeping it in perspective, plus I read a thread about allowing serotonin to regenerate. I'd be really interested to hear peoples experiences as long term occasional users, and whether their health has been affected at all

Hi Alice,
Good point. Yeah…. I guess I'm growing out of the scene myself somewhat. Also, my friends that ran those clubs were in San Diego, now I have moved. Sometimes I go see a band down the hill here in Sf, but have not danced, nor raved all night for a while. I hear you about being healthy. I am just not as resilient I guess, nor my brain perhaps as you mention the Serotonin depletion. This is an interesting section that might know a little more about it --- > MDMA & Empathogenic Drugs.

Although, I try to never say never again. I was just talking to a friend about going out yesterday ;)
