I am a middle aged professional, semi-academic who seems to end up on this site often. I have enjoyed digging through threads here and have spent a good amount of time doing so. I joined today.
I have lived in the Southern US for most of my life. The heat and humidity are awful. Spring and fall are great here.
Pharmacology is an interest. Botany and mycology are interests as well.
I am baffled by laws that prohibit and demonize chemicals.
I try to help others when I can, and I feel that if everyone were to do the same; we would all live better.

I agree with the demonization (sp?) of chemicals. The older i get the more cynical I am - could it be that the government wouldnt want us hard working civilians experiencing some mind altering substances? I see the down side of this but what about alcohol? That costs governments more in health care and wrecks the body. I guess its very taxable though. Welcome!

There is evidence that drug laws were all products of racism. That can be translated to "controlled by the ruling class". These days, the minority (1%ers or $ or multinational corperations) rules and we are a sort of slave consumer class. Or maybe not?
