Yes, however most people from SF would punch you in the face for calling it Frisco, they get all mad about it. When people say 'frisco' I think of Frisco, Texas.

People from the bay refer to it as simply "the city" or San Fran

I've noticed that in a lot of places I've lived, the locals all have a specific name for their city. For example I live in Charlotte, NC now and everyone calls the city "Uptown". Which is weird to me, I still call it Downtown and people get confused lol.
