I'm from Las Vegas. Here to talk about my passion which happens to be the science and philosophy of drugs. I'm more of a philosopher then a scientist but fascinated in science if it is presented in the right way. I'm a bit speculative and I will admit I am confused by basic cell signaling agents, G-coupled Proteins, cAMP, kinase, etc etc but I do bring with me a pragmatic/abstract in my genes with my grandfather being a chemist and my other one being an electrician. I feel as thought much very intelligent people get so caught up in the details that they lose sight of the big picture of what it all means and how it can be used. I believe in simplicity in presentation, and pleasure in learning and I would like to see more of that in the world.

Thanks I do enjoy it and I wish I knew more people who weren't knee jerk reaction types with the concept of drugs other than caffeine and ethanol. Not that everybody here isn't 8) but especially in the ADD. I feel as though drugs are an esoteric subject and impossible to discuss reasonably with almost everybody.Welcome to Bluelight! A lot of people in Advanced Drug Discussion are very literal, cut to the chase, black and white type people. They are just very based in science/facts.

I'm pretty big on the science and facts too but I also have a big picture kind of view of it. Like I've been posting about the clinical significance and application of the knowledge of of GPCR (G-Protein Coupled Receptors). I got into drugs years ago because I was curious what they were like subjectively and I was amazed that such experience was even possible and I am to this day. I think a lot of us value drugs for the experience of them as well as their more practical general life enhancing properties with proper use. I used to go to raves and have a time of my life "rolling" on MDA, MDMA, I haven't an idea but the side effects fit those pretty well.
