Hello everyone, I'm a 35 year old recovering addict. Started taking tabs at 18 and that lead to bigger and better opiates, and uppers and downers and I've probably done a little of everything except heroin. I started going to a meth clinic in 2004 that is one drug I can say that is truly a gateway to hell!! I quit cold turkey after 2 years and being on 120mg a day to nothing!! It took me 4 months just to get through a day without vomiting or diarrhea and actually being able to smoke a cigarette without gagging.
Of course after 4 months of pure hell I decided to get high and now it took something a lot stronger than tabs to get that euphoria flowing so I moved onto oxycodone and OxyContin. Not so much of a fan of OxyContin so I stuck to the cheaper oxycodone. 4 years and thousands of dollars later in 2008 I decided it's about time to live right. I didn't exactly have a big come to Jesus moment but I started suboxone treatment. And in the last 8 years I've been on and successfully come off of suboxone but as of right now this is my 4th year straight in treatment with a dr that I honestly don't know shit about addiction or me but I'm trying to work my way off of subs for good.
