Hello I am new to Bluelight
Hello everyone....

I am new to Bluelight and I guess just introducing myself to the members here.
I guess a brief bio would be ....

....mostly music related, I am a musician, toured North America numourous times, I've played in Punk bands to jazz bands to blues, rock, metal etc etc...im not really into stating genres as I feel music is music, i dont need a genre label to tell me what i like or not, and if a genre label is needed, there is good music in any genre.
I've been playing guitar since I was 5 years old, picking up other instruments along the way ie. Mandolin, banjo, violin, sax, piano, harmonica, drums, bass, sitar, lap slide guitar, pedal steel guitar...
...I currently teach guitar lessons through my own company... I went through invitation to the Juno awards, MuchMusic video awards, was accepted to university for jazz guitar, aced the entry exams and was going to be bumped right into second year because of it, but I was touring alot at the time and chose to do that instead....which the touring lifestyle kinda leads into my drug experience....

....I've been doing drugs since elementary school, but never got to deeply into it because I was an avid hockey player, rugby player and was huge into weight training, all throughout high school, I learned alot about health in those years and that has stuck with me, from learning about processed foods and chemicals that are fed to us etc etc...I'm lucky enough to live near alot of farms and farmers markets, I actually worked on a wheatgrass juice farm...anyways...
...so farm fresh, organic , in season is something I really pay attention to..

Anyways...
My drug experience is pretty extensive, love psychedelics, LSD being my favourite, but Miprocin is up there, zoomers...lots of hash and weed...a long list of opiates/opiods, heroin and hydromorphone being my favourites, overdosed 3 times, once just on fentanyl, twice on heroin cut with fentanyl... All I.V. , this has been around 15 years of that, im currently on Suboxone.. This will be the second time on it for me, last was two years ago, for about 6 months....I.V. cocaine is one of my favourite kicks, that's about 10 years of that...crack, methamphetamine, ADHD stims, lots of research chemicals, kratom, ketamine, some tranqs such as Acepromazine...
...lots of Benzodiazapines.
Lots of research into what I'm ingesting, and what it does to the body. I am very interested in that
I have been referencing this site for years, and only recently joined and thought I'd make a formal ...forumal, ha ...introduction...
..sorry im a bit of a goof...
...well anyways, yea...look forward to being a part of this site...
...and I have read the rules, but I am still new and maybe something I post about may be taboo, but just let me know and I will learn...
...I don't really know how to do a few things I've seen quiet regularly on this site..

So.....

Hi everybody...

Hi..
..thank you for the welcome, I actually don't even know how to PM at this point I am still in 'greenlighter' status so im not sure if that may have anything to do with that..
...it's either that or I am missing the option somewhere...

...once again, thank you for the welcome

Welcome to bluelight!
Always good to see another musician on here. And a multi-instrumentalist at that - a man after my own heart in that sense.
There's a bit of musical chatter in a couple of our subforums, especially Non-Electronic Music Discussion :)
Be good to see you over there.

^^^thank you very much...
...it's weird I guess, but my go to is always music, anything music related.
I will be checking out the link you posted in just a few minutes...
...thank you so much for the welcome...
...everybody I've encountered has been very welcoming and it's pretty cool, so...

...thanks again

^^^
^^^i have just contributed to one thread on the forum you posted a link for...
...thanks so much for informing of that part of Bluelight, I will be over there a lot I think

Cool :)

Music is a wonderful thing. To me, performing is better than any drug - but music and drugs also compliment one another beautifully, which is why they're so inextricably linked (or at least, they have been for the last ~100 years at least) %)

^^^for sure man, art in general is very connected to psychoactive agents...
...it may be a brain thing, the way it's wired, your brain is pumping out to much of something that you need to counteract, or to little of something you need to counteract... Indigenous/exogenous , either or,or both
...either way...I see the connection being very prominent...
..and yes to me, performing live is so therapeutic for me, when I'm up on stage it's like the rest of my life melts away, it's meditation... Very cool
Anyways ...thanks again

to me, performing live is so therapeutic for me, when I'm up on stage it's like the rest of my life melts away, it's meditation
yes!
i find that when i'm playing music, all my worries fade away, and anything bothering me pretty much disappears - magic.
it's a very special thing :)

I mean, don't get me wrong, anytime I'm either listening or playing music, it's meditation...
...but when I'm performing, it's extra special...
..this isnt really just because the stage lights blinding me, but it is as if people arent even watching you, it seems like the stage is the whole universe, and what's past that is just unknown territory, something that's just speculation l, as we speculate here on earth as to what's past that frontier?? Time? If time doesn't exist past that threshold then is there really anything there?? Nothing means nothing, but the concept of nothing is something....

....ahh, sorry I'm rambling.

....I dig music

Hi and welcome! I'm new here, too. Just got on suboxone for the first time, and I'm not sure what to expect. Any info would be much appreciated!

At first you may start low and find it doesn't work, so you may titrate up, and in the initial induction phase you may titrate up to a high dose for like the first 3 days, but can drastically cut the dose down to half of your highest dose and your body will be comfortable, you won't be experiencing withdrawal, and essentially level out, and that is the dose you will stay at, and start to taper down from...
...for some , the first phase of Suboxone can still be very uncomfortable... either to much or not enough, ...basically stabilising is getting to a dose your body is comfortable with, no sickness, whether it's to much or to little...
...is the film meant to be cut up? Or do you take the 8mgs in one dose??

And Im sorry because I have no experience with the strips, I've only ever had the sublingual pills

Sorry...and may i ask what brought you to being on Suboxone? ...
...if you aren't comfortable talking about it on this thread you can PM me...but it's nothing to be ashamed about, everyone I've encountered on Bluelight has been nothing short of extremely helpful and very understanding and informative... so you have nothing to be worried about to ask out in the open here...

I have no problems with that question! My pain management clinic just closed...I was taking 150mg of oxycontin everyday for the past three years. I couldn't find another pain management clinic to take new patients, so I just figured I would quit. Couldn't be that hard, right??? I was so wrong! So I figured I would give this a try. I'm supposed to start with the full strip, then work it down from there. When I had to quit smoking weed for a bit, there was no problem. So easy! I guess I never realized how dependent I was on these oxys! And thanks so much for all of your info!

Ok...so the strip itself is 8mgs? Are there any perforations?
150mgs of oxycodone for 3 years everyday is a pretty steady dose of some moderate to heavy painkillers. Quiting cold turkey would certainly cause extreme discomfort, and will be absolutely nothing like quiting a heavy daily habit of weed or hash...

Are you you still in pain? I'm not sure what country you are from?? But If you are still in the same pain as what you were on oxycodone for, there must be some options available for you..? Ask your doctor??

I am sorry, I don't know the whole story exactly, and if it's none of my business, you do not have to share it with me , I wouldn't find it offensive.. But I certainly will try and help with any info that I do know...
...

....Well.....I made it...

....I've graduated from 'Greenlighter' status and am now officially a 'Bluelighter'.

Yay me.....this calls for a celebration...
Insert Kool and the Gang here....
