Hello everyone. I am new here but have lurked for advice for many years. I finally got up the courage to post something. I use Tylenol 3 for a shoulder injury and recently an arthritis condition. I am on intervals every ten days for medication as I?m sure many of you are. I always run out early and my doctor is not open to increasing my dosage despite trials of other non narcotics and allergies to others. I?m not even sure what advice I?m looking for. What can I do to substitute codeine when I run out? I am not addicted, I have real pain I?m sure many of you here do also, have you had similar experience? I don?t know how to get my doctor to listen and either increase my dosage or change to something stronger. Any help or advice or input is greatly appreciated.

Thank you everyone for your welcoming posts. I?m sure I can find people here who can relate ?

Opioid medication is the only one that I don?t get any negative side effects from. I have been hospitalized for allergic reactions and also GI bleeding from other medications I have tried. My doctor knows this. I know they are pressured to reduce prescription opioids. I don?t think a one size fits all approach is right. I?m getting very down about the pain I?m in every day. Thanks for replying to me I appreciate it.
