Hello, it's me Shokdee. I want to introduce myself and I'll start at the beginning. The union of a sperm of my father (RIP) and an egg of my mother, I was air born in Namibia in the 1960s. I learnt to walk and talk, and read and write, and to think for myself. I grew up in South Africa and acquired academic qualifications in Psychology, Archaeology and Education, always exploring the meaning of human existence using tools like brain machines, Hemi Sync, K , 2CB, and a floatation tank. Intrigued by the properties of electricity (ala McLuhan) I switched focus to computers and human-computer interaction and soon migrated to the UK to work on Y2K, Information Mapping and corporate intranets. I then retired to Koh Samui, Thailand, to run a beach-side restaurant. Living in a tropical paradise made me notice the illusionary nature of everyday reality, "progress" and "development" usually meant moving backwards, "democracy" meant vote buying, greed and money-seeking seemed like a parasitic mind virus. These feelings were reinforced when I discovered the truth about the events of 9/11. This shocked me to my core and I continue to grapple with the deeper implications. I responded by moving inland to a remote part of Thailand, researching and exploring sufficiency and sustainably, a permaculture-inspired lifestyle ordered by the seasons and not the clock. Bird song and starry nights. In summary, working as a one-man think tank, I consider myself a surfer of the time waves that emerge from the "Resonant Temporal Field" and one wave I caught washed me up on the shores of this forum.
