Can anyone help me understand the best way to maximize results from HCG and or Anavar?

I'm 43 yo 6'"3" 240 and have been lifting for the last year and seeing solid results but am hitting a plateau. I know nutrition and proper lifting are essential for maximizing the effects of either of these two substances.

Currently hitting the gym 4-5 times a week doing high rep low weight exercises one body part per week and seeing weekly gains in weight.. I've read quite a bit about Anavar killing your sex drive and HCG seems to do the opposite when I use it.

Any suggestions about how to best proceed? I'm looking to move from the higher rep lower weight routine to something that's going to give me greater mass and strength

Thanks guys,

Hi, Welcome to Bluelight !

Thank you for introducing yourself. I am going to move your thread to a forum where you'll receive some answers.

Guys need to supplement testosterone along with any oral like anavar, the anavar alone will not do much for you.
HCG use alone is also not very anabolic, it mimics luteinizing hormone and will give you a little increase in testosterone while you use it but at the expense of your natural HPTA feed back. Not a good route to go either.

You should get your hormone levels tested and see just where you are. In the US most guys do their own using labsmd.com or privatemdlabs.com. The female hormone panel is what I get, even as a male.

Hi there, welcome to BL. You say you're making gains every week, which is good - do you mean in weight used, or bodyweight?

Also you're a bit vague on the hCG/Anavar thing - do you already have some? If so, what made you pick these two compounds? And how much do you have?

Regarding the exercise progression, try and convert over to a pyramid structure. If you are doing three sets of fifteen now, try using that weight as a starting point for the first set. Do four sets of 15, 12, 9, 6 reps, increasing the weight each set. Alternatively, do a reverse pyramid of 6, 9, 12, 15 reps and decreasing the weight each set. If you are on gear, then you really want to reap the benefits of different rep ranges. Alternatively, you can do what I do (though I don't use gear) and have a higher-rep day followed by a lower-rep day for each body part.

A lot of modern research suggests that hitting each muscle group twice per week is superior to once per week (once per week being known as the "bro split"), so this is something for you to consider. Converting to full body training is a way to pull this off without having to end up going to the gym every single day. It took me a long time to open myself up to the idea of full body training, and I don't completely do it (I have a very odd split), but the body will adapt to it.
