Hello, I think a introduction is a good idea, at least I think so at late Saturday night ;).

I've been browsing around this site for quite some time, but never done anything other than reading. Well this time is different and a introduction is appropriate.
I'm a guy in my late 20's. I'm a computer engineer, and I have a education in what roughly translates to laboratory technician. So I'm somewhat familiar with lab equipment. I'm currently not working because of a very rare illness I contracted a couple of years ago. Well hell its been 5 years now, the time flies away.

In my "former" life, I was straight as an arrow, didn't do anything outside the accepted stuff in the society. But being a inches away from dying made me reconsider a lot of things.
I had always said to my friends who "experimented" with alternative ways to intoxicate them selves, that someday when I was old enough (in my opinion) I would try everything once. Well, having lost about 100 pounds in body weight, 46% of total in just 6 months, being tormented day in and day out with excruciating pain, and being told by my doctor to basically prepare to die, I decided that I was old enough.

And this is where my story really starts, a beginning of a new life. A better life? I don't know but different, sure as hell :).
Since then I've only let my imagination stop me, pushing the limits of what everyone thought was possible. I was preparing to die, so what did I have to loose?

Well to make a already long story a bit shorter, I didn't die. But I'm still scarred by it, and I would be lying if I said that everything is alright. I still push the limits, but not to the extent that I did. Not much point in surviving if I kill myself doing something incredibly stupid :)

I hope to be a asset to the community, in one way or another.

Regards

Welcome to bL. Be sure to check out The Dark Side! They are a great group of well informed loving people who are a great resource when you're facing extreme depression / suicidal thoughts.

Hope you get to feeling better. <3

You sound like you have an interesting story, man. You'll find a lot of us around these parts with similar pasts. You definitely came to the right place.

By the way, awesome you're in Scandinavia. I dated a chic from their once. Gorgeous.
