What kind of things have you learnt from the Bluelight? There's plenty of people here from NYC. Start posting in the NMI Social thread and you'll meet them in no time. Just remember though, We don't allow sourcing of any kind.

As JoshE said-WELCOME BACK!!! There are many members from NYC here on Bluelight. Maybe check out North and South America Threads. There are many American regional threads as well as my favorite social NASADD-besides,of course NMI social,in which you should also stop by and say hello. Make sure to reacquaint yourself w/ the BLUA as well as individual forum posting guidelines,as a refresher.
