Hello Bluelighters!

Long time reader, first time poster :D. First off, I would just like to say how happy I am to find this site. I've found myself coming here time and again looking for information and its always been helpful. Everyone (at least mostly) is so willing to answer questions and help guide people who are looking for help. I'm looking forward to contributing and possibly making new friends.

Background on me: I am currently in my 3rd year of medical school. Although I'm not yet a doctor, I do possess a good understanding of medicine. That being said, if anyone has any medically-related questions, I would be more than happy to answer them to the best of my ability or at least direct them to the appropriate resources. But once again, please remember that I am not yet a doctor; just an overworked, sleep-deprived med student.

I'm not sure if we're supposed to talk about drug-related stuff in this forum, but just for background purposes: I have been on oxycodone for several years now. I have lupus and several other causes of chronic pain, hence the prescriptions. However, as I'm sure most of you are familiar with, the prescription seems to run out faster than it should, and then I get to experience the oh-so-lovely WDs. I've dealt with this for quite some time, but unfortunately, I've taken to using heroin during the times that I'm out of my pills. Not something I'm proud of, but it is what it is.

Anyway, that's pretty much the reason why I decided to join Bluelight. I'm interested in hearing other users' stories of how they came to start using their drug of choice and their experiences with it. Also, to stay true to the Bluelight mission statement, I'm definitely interested in reading about how some of you prefer to ingest your drug of choice (specifically heroin) and any advice that could be given regarding the safest and most effective ways of using it.

Thank you all in advance! And lets not forget: stay safe!
