Hello from a Mystic/Philosopher

Hello,

I read Aldous Huxley?s Doors of Perception and am reading his Perennialist Philosophy. I?ve been a meditator and contemplative for a while and studied several traditions. I?m not an academic so my focus is on actual meditative practice and living out my practice.

I?m very interested in psychedelics and their similarities to mystical experiences. I?ve never done any and am not planning to, but I?ve found it really helpful to talk to people who do or are knowledgeable about them.

Where would be the best thread to ask questions about psychedelic experiences? Under psychedelics or under philosophy?

Welcome to Bluelight! That's a worthy area of exploration for sure.

I would spend time reading specifically in the Psychedelic Drug forum. Also use the search engine to see what existing threads come up as I do remember an old thread in The Spirituality and Philosophy forum where people compared their experiences and asked questions of each other.

Also in the MAPS forum you can get a direct link to MAPS website and you can also search their site for related articles.
