Would like to say its great to finally be a member here at Blue light. I'm no stranger to the Blue Light community, I've came here many times in the past in search of answers to my questions that only Blue light can provide. I've came to you while I was using looking for safe methods of administering my drug of choice, and new techniques to get the most out of my drug. It was always nice to have a place I could get the information I needed regarding my addiction, and after clicking out of blue light I always felt a little better knowing i was not the only one going through the hell I was going through. Not that I felt good about someone else suffering, but i knew i always had a friend out there. My main drugs of choice were opiates and Herion(you know what I mean, pills and herion..lol), but i have experience with basically everything. I started using opiates after a bad wreck 15 years ago, from there on it was down hill. (Like every other opiate addict). After 10 years of painkillers i was introduced to herion, instantly that became the only thing in my life I cared about. Skiping a few pages.... The day I found out i was going to be a fater was the day i decided to go to rehab. I completed that process, got prescribed subutex and experienced the birth of my son. Its been a rough 5 years but im stronger than ever. I have had another child with my wife since then, a daughter, i thank god everyday for all the blessings in my life, i got a second chance at life. I became a member here today hoping i can pay it back and give someone the courage and faith to get clean too, but I'm also here to help with any questions when it comes to being addicted and im willing to pass on safe techniques. Thank you Bluelight for this amazing website.

Hi,
Welcome to Bluelight. Opiates are my DOC as well, been clean almost 10 months. This community has been a wonderful support network and place to give back for me as well. Good to have you here - I look forward to your input. Congrats on turning your life around! :)

Thank you both, I still have a long way to go with my addiction, it will be a life long battle, even after 4 years clean (a word I use lightly because I still need the help of Subutex) , I wake up with painkillers on my mind, and I go to sleep with painkillers on my mind. My Dr has been hounding me alot latley about attending NA meetings, I tried it a few times and its just not for me. I found the "walk in" nightly meetings worthless, each time I attended 95% of the discussions were not even relevant to NA. In addition to working full time and raising my family, its very difficult for me to find the time and motivation needed for NA. Blue light gives me the ability to how you say? Work on myself without the added stress of piling even more shit into my already full schedule. Hope to see you two around the forums, and Smokey, if you ever need to talk or just need a few supportive words feel free to contact me, it's always nice to have someone in your corner that understands the hell of opiate addiction
