Hi everyone. I'm new here and thought I'd take a moment to briefly introduce myself. I am a male in my 20s from the midwest. I have been interested in drugs for a long time. My interest began as recreational experimentation during my youth, but as time progressed I have become (and am still becoming) a lot more concerned with the science/medicine behind drugs as well. My definition of drugs, however, does not necessarily mean illicit substances. A drug, to me, is "anything put into the body which sets off a chemical reaction"--this includes things like food, children's gummy vitamins, and the air you breathe! However, one might say that I have also been known to enjoy partaking in the consumption of certain 'illicit' substances in the past, as well. I have "lurked" this site many times in the past, but am just now joining. I plan to learn and make new friends, as well as contribute to the forums. I hope to chat with you all in the future. It's nice to meet ya!

A lot of people share your view on the definition of 'drug'. Its a good one! I love it when conversations like this happen when you're at a club:

"I don't do drugs"
"But you drink, right?"
"Yeah but alcohol isn't a drug"

*facepalm*
