Hello, totally new here. I've seen this site off and on while just googling for info. So I finally decided to join. Lots of interesting information on here. Currently addicted to opiates (weaning off) medically through my Doc. so many questions I have in my head about everything I am going through physically and mentally. Wish I could stay on 100mg a day of what I'm on currently. I feel "normal" when I do. Not loopy or not trying to be high as a kite, I just feel... I don't know. Normal. I am able to just enjoy things, have interest in things. "typical for an addict to say?" I have no clue. Probably is. I haven't been addicted to opiates b-4. But here I am. It's been a year now and the thought of being totally off opiates scares me. I've gone through partial withdrawl and it's frightening. Anyway. I'll be scanning around just trying to get as much info as I can on opiates and everyone's experiences. (I'm currently on tapentadol). (stating that for direction I suppose). Blessings!

I think 8 out of 10 new members is coming off opiates....I'm currently "on" again but have been "off" about 100 times. The life long opiate battle is hard but if you get through it then you are my hero. Sending you all the good vibes I can.... Welcome to Bluelight!

I signed up shortly after going through acute heroin withdrawal and haven't gotten addicted again since.
