So I have decided to go on the methadone maintenance treatment program and will go into the clinic Monday about being seen . Problem is at the end of every month I go threw WD from Oxycodone, tremadol, hydrocodone, fentanyl,Heroin and other RC opiates I get off the Internet . Will I have to test positive for opiates to be seen if I am 8 days in WD when I go to the clinic or will they turn me away for no opiates in my piss ? If I don't get the treatment I will at the first of the month once again spend every last dime on more opiates ,and about the 20th of the month be out and in WD again . I go threw this every month ,and believe my only option is methadone . The longest I have been without opiates in 11 years is 1 month ,and it was hell . AND BTW When in WD I tend to steal opiates from my family dad ,mom ,grandma . I am getting tired of living like this I have a family wife ,and kids ,and truly need this methadone treatment . My last opiates I used was HYDrocodone . I went threw a 120 count 10/325 bottle in three days and this did not touch the wd from the fentanyl I was going threw .

Please someone that may no something help me ;because I don't want to wast my money going to the clinic if I get no treatment .
Hope I posted this in the right spot .

It's difficult to say what the particular clinic in your area will do, and depends on their policies as to who they accept and who they don't. I've heard of a clinic that only accepted IV users before. I can't tell you from experience, as on the day of my MMT interview I definitely had plenty of heroin in my system...
However, I relate to and sympathize with the tumultuous lifestyle and financial strain that you must be going through, and the desire to find a way out.
I consider MMT to be kind of a last resort, last house on the block, end of the road type option - primarily because of the strict regulations, necessity for daily attendance, high risk of dependence, long half-life, and long duration of treatment. I only tried it after a good year of exhausting other options. And guess what - it still didn't keep my clean!

which is not to say it won't work for you. Call the clinic and talk to someone about it, express your concerns. A specific question you might ask is whether they base your condition on a toxicology report, or by the COWS scale (observable symptoms.) Let us know what happens =)

You should call the clinic and ask what there policy is. Some of them will just take your word while others will want you to fail a drug test. Just call and ask there may be an option you haven't thought of. I have been on methadone for 6 months and it has saved my life. Best decision I have made in a long time
