Hi everyone! %) I had actually joined some time back, but I didn't do much in the way of posting and I didn't even log on for about a year. However, a search on Google brought me back and I decided I wanted to get involved 
Awhile ago, I did a lot of lurking, mostly to find out information that could be useful to me, and I also enjoyed the good discussions. Having read those, I decided I wanted to jump in and share information or ideas so I suppose that's what brought me here.
Now the basics... I'm from the northeast United States and my undergrad degrees are in Biology and Psychology. I had experience in an animal lab and that really got me interested in neuro/psychopharmacology. I'm about to complete my masters on Pharmaceutical Studies and after that, I'm likely off to a higher degree. I enjoy a good discussion about the literature that's out currently on substances, from peer reviewed journals, both to learn and to hopefully share some good information. I'm big into harm-reduction, so sometimes that idea finds a way into my post somehow, even though I might have set out to discuss something totally different.
As for other interests, I am a bit of a nerd: I enjoy video games, technology and other stuff (building/tinkering around with computers, fixing old broken ones. I also enjoy poker, both online
and live. I find it's a good combination of psychology, math, and other instincts.Online play looks like it's coming back, so I am psyched about that 
I consider myself outgoing, and would be up for meeting other Bluelighters, once I got comfortable here (and also when I can hold more than 5 PMs in my inbox, 
I enjoy reading,-on a variety of topics- one of which is mind altering substances that are discussed in depth here. I also have what I would consider a decent amount of experience, so I feel perhaps I can share some of it and help people stay safe, by knowing their substance, their source and themselves. Aside from that, I feel I can contribute in the from of trip reports or sharing personal experiences with various substances.
Finally, I hope to have fun here! I came here to participate in good stimulating discussions and so far, I have not been disappointed :D
