Hi, this is my first post on BL and i would just like to start by saying what a wonderful site! I have been browsing this forum for about a year now and finally decided to join up. The information is always informative and best of all the community, from what i have seen, is very welcoming and friendly; none of the bullshit and abuse that goes on on other forums :)

Alright so on topic. Me and two of my mates are planning on trying LSD hopefully some time next week. None of us have tripped before (with the exception of this time i had some subs, only got threshold effects though) we mainly just piss up and smoke bud but occasionally get on the beans. So no previous phsych experience there. I have done a lot of research on this mystical substance and have passed a lot of the information onto my mates who all understand the importance of set and setting. They were reluctant at first but now are fairly keen.

My contact says that she can get some tabs for us that are "specifically made for the full moon party bush doofs (Rainbow Serpent) - made for the people who've been tripping for 10 years" which are sourced from Melbourne. How much truth there is to this i don't know.

So here are my questions.

1) We are having trouble finding a suitable trip sitter:\ i.e someone we can trust not to fuck with us when we're tripping and someone who won't just freak out and fuck off if things go bad. So do you think
(a) 1 of us should be sober and sit the other 2,
(b) each of us do them on separate occasions with a trip sitter
or option (c) just all drop together without a sitter?? ideally we would all like to trip together:D.

2) Does anyone have any knowledge of these tabs from Melbourne? Do you think they are anything special or just your average tabs floating around (I'm not sure of the print yet)

3) Considering question 2 (which i know isn't much help without more detail about the tab and it's print) how much do you think we should take for our first time?

4) and any other tips or suggestions you have for first time trippers? Yes i have read the multiple 'First time LSD' threads, was just hoping for a more localised opinion.

any input on these questions would be greatly appreciated :D

Hey Deman, welcome to Bluelight. Nice to have some more Canberra people around here.

No one can tell you anything about the LSD you are getting without at least a name and preferably a pic.

I should have that info by Wednesday which i might post here or in the 'whats going around' thread.

Care to elaborate on the other questions assuming the tabs are of an average dose? (100ug?)
 
You sure you don't know anyone who understands your situation and is willing to look after you guys?

Girls are great for comforting and making sure everythings alright.. they play kind of a mother role. And they're always worried that one wrong move will mess you up for good, so they try make everything good

My experience with LSD is that it gives you a HUGE mindfuck.. so be prepared to be in your head more than you're use to.. you'll think like you've never thought before.

Just gotta remember that everything you experience will be part of the trip, if you get worried - just remind yourself that it's suppose to be happening. Because you're unfamiliar with the effects and how they feel for you, you might/will be overwhelmed and surprised at some of the things you experience.. by keeping calm and waiting it out and tell yourself that everything will be normal again eventually you should be able to get on top of any overwhelming aspects of the trip.

that's only a worst case scenario though, i'm sure you'll love it.

To enjoy an acid trip, you really do have to Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out..
just let yourself go, you have to release yourself to the LSD experience in order to enjoy it properly.
don't fight it.
 
Youl have fun. Something I do I call "switching gears". If your starting to get uneasy think back to something earlyer that you laughed at.

Be in a safe environment that your all easy with. Someones house. And remember the trip last a while but you will come down.
 
My best guess is that the average tab is closer to 40-60ug, not 100ug and the 'full moon party rainbow tab' banter is most likely shit talking

Can you please let us know as soon as you have tab info so we can help with a dosage for you

You should be fine to all trip together as long as you are away from anyone that is going to annoy you

Where were you planning on tripping?

As Lewk said, girls make good trip sitters but if you choose to go down this path, make sure they know what to expect from you guys in the LSD state and have read information on trip sitting/how to calm you down if your freaking out
 
Yeah haha a lot of people have a tendency to talk shit when they are talking about drugs so i wouldn't be at all surprised if that was the case.

I'll have more information about the tabs by Wednesday / Thursday. Where do you suggest i post that information Psilo? here or in the 'Whats going around Thread'

And we were planning on tripping at one of our houses when we have them to ourselves for a day or so. I would love to do it somewhere in nature but i think that might have to wait till I'm a bit more experienced
 
I have some mates from Melbourne that are going to Rainbow serpent and they all have the yoda tabs, I've had them twice and they do the job good. First up i wouldn't have more than 1 to start off with.

Maybe this bit of info will help ya if there the same tabs.

Post the tabs up here and if they aren't already in the info thread feel free to put them up in there as well

Make sure you guys aren't going to be interrupted by any during the trip and try to get outside for at least part of the trip. You will know why I say to get out in nature when you're on the LSD :)

Everyone should have 100ug for their first trip

Being 'half way there' is worse than being fully immersed in the LSD experienced

I'm not saying to have stupid amounts first time round but only to have a proper visual amount

Yoda's are a good first tab, my friend had 1.5 for his first LSD trip a few weeks ago and loved it

I would say dose low and all trip, but yoou really have no idea on what could happen.
Sometimes even having a trip sitter isn't enough.
Having to call an ambo out while on 3 tabs is an experience I hope to never experience again.
The other week what a group of my friends did was have 2 people trip, while the other 2 were sitters, then later in the week the other 2 tripped and the others were sitters.
See if you could do something similar to that because that way no one is left out and everyone is having a great giggly time :)
 
Don't worry about having to have a trip sitter, just make sure you do it in a comfortable secure place. Just tell someone what you are going to do and have them on easy speed dial if things get confusing. Better to chose your fellow trippers wisely. The mate who tends to get a little crazy every time you go out is likely to cause more pain than good.

My best advise would be to trip at someone's home, preferably with a backyard. Good tunes, movies, plenty of munchies and a shower to get lost in are a godsend. It is also nice to be able to control your mood or just have a bit of "me" time in a bedroom. Especially compared to being stuck in public, with no one to take control, where even stopping a cab can be a major mission. Getting naked is never a good idea. Also clear your schedule.Call anyone (ie parents, boss), the morning before you trip and then don't answer your phone for 24 hrs.

As for dose I'd say start with half a tab. Don't worry about the dick sizing you might see around here, you will get plenty on your first trip with 1/2, and if by chance you do score "super lucy" then you have enough for another trip another day. Don't worry about any deep inner experience your first time. Just enjoy the trip and good vibes with your mates at a manageable dose. I have seen too many noobs trying to keep up with more experienced trippers and been hit hard and put on their arse.

All this is good advice but just remember my first time I gobbled 2, went to a festival and had the time of my life losing it to Henry Rollins and The Beastie Boys and collapsed at home 24hrs later ;) =D

3 average tabs is a bit much for noobs
 
I suggest a clock or watch within easy reach. In case of any panic about being "stuck like this forever", you can reassure yourself that the trip will end in about eight hours.
 
i suggest a half dose on 1st mission to mars an back. then if its going ok after a cpl of hrs have some more? *edit* i guess trips arent like in my early days when we got hammered by things like purple ohms, robots, strawberries.. same with eccies, these days apparently there's not as much real mdma in em.. but anyway good luck and have fun!

I've never found a trip sitter necessary. Set and setting. Three mates in a comfortable spot and you should be fine.

If there were any good pills around, I would suggest candyflipping as a good starting point

Always had beans with my acid rides & always had excellent results :)

A single tab should suffice... to get yourself familiar with the acid experience in the least. I did half tabs a few times when I first started, but didn't get all that much. Turns out that I need higher doses than average of any hallucinogen in order to experience the full visual effects... good thing I handle my drugs well ;)

Have always done it at clubs/recoveries and been fine - got to say though the comedown is a bitch. Make sure you have somewhere comfy to sleep, lots of water/hydration and maybe a benzo or two if necessary for when the ride ends.... good luck!
 
Thanks for all the input guys, some good advice in there.

Might just go with St Clare's suggestion and trip without a sitter and have a friend on speed dial just in case. As for the dose I'll wait for more info on the tabs
