Hello all. I've taken all sorts of things over the years but have recently developed a taste for opiates. I've had a few serious accidents where I have been prescribed opiates for pain: oramorph, dihydrocodeine, codeine on different occasions. Even at the prescribed doses these were very nice. I've recently been doing CWE of dihydrocodeine and codeine for fun. I'm interested in learning more about safe dosage limits, safe and effective CWE, avoiding addiction (I only do recreational doses at the weekend, and not every weekend), potentiation and so on. I'm an old bloke and have access to some basic glassware so, for example, have done CWE with a Buchner funnel and vacuum filter (very quick and very efficient) as well as more simple coffee filter approaches.

Welcome! Woah, seems you have become pretty advanced with your CWE technique! Not sure how long you have been prescribed the pain meds but addiction is pretty much a matter of time when abused even only for weekend play and tollerance still grows fast when taken for right reasons as prescribed. Iknow from experience. Not trying to be a buzz kill. You might be one of the rare animals who can control it. But use caution with uping dosage to chase that ever fleating high. Cheers.

Thanks! I'd actually got to a stage where I was decreasing the dosage because I felt too wrecked! But point taken - this is dangerous stuff. I had oramorph for pain for about 6 months and when the bone finally knitted and the pain stopped I stopped the oramorph very quickly with no problems. Similar experience a few years previously after another serious accident. 8 x 30mg codeine a day for months which I again stopped without trouble. The only drug where I ever had a real yearning to do it again sooner than I should was speed (and, of course, cigarettes, but I even stopped them). Cheers!

Welcome to Bluelight! I also recently signed up but have been reading these forums for years. I have been on and off opiates for years now. I started doing them every now and then and then every other weekend. That eventually led to every weekend and then everyday. All I can say is they are very easy to get addicted to. It seems like you have a solid head on your shoulders and know the dangers of addiction. Just be careful because once they have a hold of you that shit will take over your life. I recently discovered poppy seed tea about a year ago and it has been hard trying to quit, but I am preparing to detox in a few weeks and hope to stick with it this time.

I have to be able to function even after doing the odd drug at the weekend. One thing I like about opiates is that you can have a dose that is very pleasant but wears off in about three hours so I can function normally very soon after being stoned. This never seemed to quite work with speed or coke - always some downside just after, whereas I feel fine 3 or 4 hours after some codeine and/or dihydrocodeine. Is that normal?

Yeah, I've found on the rare occasion that I let myself come down, I rarely feel any negative effects, except maybe wanting more...
