Hi everyone! My name is Alyssa. I have been on meds since I was 6 yrs old. I have a disese called Charcot-Marie-Tooth. It's a muscle disese that causes the muscles in my legs, arms and hands weaken and over time go away. It's a progressive disese. I have had numorous surgeries. I have a great deal of pain on a daily basis. I have a very high tolerence to pain meds. So I have to take more than I am perscribed just to get relief. Since I have been on meds most of my life, I have developed addiction to them. For the past 15 years I have been addicted to pain meds. I have recently started seeing a pain management doctor. He gave me ms contin 15 and Norco 5 mg. I have yet to get a good buzz from the ms contin. I've tried chewing them up and taking the coating off. The most i've taken at once is 5. I'm on this site looking to meet ppl I can chat with and also to ask questions and get other ppl's opionion. It's nice to meet other ppl that have the same intrests as I do ;) I look foward to making some new friends!=D
 
Hey nice to meet you, I'm down here in Houston. I have way to much experience with norco 10/325...and so does my liver. MS contin is a weird one that's for sure...I am prescribed Morphine Sulphate IR 30mg's for breakthrough pain and sometimes it is heaven and other times I swear it just gives me a headache. The wonderful/horrible world of opiates~!
 
Pretty sure we don't have Hydrocodone in Australia, it always makes me think of House :)

^Really? It may not be easy to come by but I'm sure it's out there somewhere.
Not like it's fun or anything though...
 
^ I don't have a copy of MIMS, but from everything I have read we don't have it in Australia.
