Hel, in hell

This thing has been driving me nuts for weeks, why do I bleed? For all you SINNERS!!!!!

For all doubters, this is done mostly from my blessed crown, references were only used for the drapery, and the skeleton part, I got one of those model skeletons and what I do is throw a towel over it, pose the fucker in whatever stance I want it to be, then I just made up Hel (Norse goddess of the underworld, daughter of Loki) accompanied by Jormungund and Fenrir her Jotun beast siblings, up from the torso on to the head, weird how I just made up that face and it looks a lot like someone, that isn't myself.

Jormungund, the sea serpent came straight out of the dome, as did the background, there's a lot of work that needs to be done on it but quite frankly I'm sick of working on it right now, posted it in second opinions too 'cause I need some help, certain things need to be pushed back, pushed forward, other things need to be sharpened whereas other parts blurred.

 

I haven't been BL for long. I have always been interested in Norse 'mythology' all my animals were always named after the Norse God's bar Asgard because it suited him. I think the painting is incredible and insightful and was surprised to find it on here (I don't know why). The problem as I see it is if you look at something for too long it loses the vibrancy. Jormungund is not how I personally envisage the Serpent but you must have chosen that way for some reason. To me (of course I am no artist) it's too sci fi for the time. But may be you intended it that way?, Fenrir I do believe is not been credited with the detail and power deserved. I feel that strongly. Should be placed higher toward Hel, any guardian creature would show more protection. The eyes and expression are not powerful enough. Anyway those are my thoughts and may be some more extreme colour in her robe?

I was going to email you but I don't know how, so that shows how new I am. But you sounded dismal and you shouldn't be because you're almost there. I save up dog ends (I know it's disgusting) so I always keep a 'back up' of cigarettes. Anyway I'm 'justcanthelpmyself' and you are more than welcome to reply to me. I'm interested to see your other work is this the first Norse themed one you've done? and I also think blue is missing. The mood it sounds like your in you'll probably just tell me to fuck off but so what.
