Heavy cannabis use and your memory

I find bee pollen helps with being able to retrieve thoughts and memory's from the good ol memory bank.

Ive been smoking oil, bubble hash, decently proper ganja, and eating tincure for the last week, and to say the least, my memory has been garbage. When i eat the pollen for a few days i feel 100x better.

Try like fish oil and omega 3 fatty acids. They're supposed to be good for brain function.

Wow some great responses here, thanks! I can relate to a lot of what you guys are saying.

dude i feel you, my short term memory literally isn't there anymore, it really scares me sometimes. I can't remember shit! everything just blends together. I remember what I was doing, who I was with, where I was, but i don't remember details at all. It's all just a vague outline. Seriously, when I try to think of what I did last night or yesterday it doesn't just come to me, I have to make a concious effort to remember everything I did. Like remembering a dream almost.

This!!

What I have found is that my memories are still all there, I just seem to have lost the ability to recall these for myself normally.

For example, I feel kind of the same in the way that I do not really remember any of my years in high school as I was also smoking Waterfalls, or Buckets as we call them every day.

However, if a friend of mine starts to tell a story or recalls something, its like OH S*** I REMEMBER THAT!! and it all comes flooding back.

Also time lines and the order of events can get very confusing. What year did that happen? No clue...

However, I have an awesome memory when it comes to Numbers, be it IP Addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, etc.

AND this!!!

So gathering from what I'm reading here, these could all be good to help memory:

- Vitamin E
- Bee Pollen
- Omega 3 fatty acid
- Fish oil
- Piracetam

has anyone ever noticed that your memory is faded ONLY when your high ?

when your sober you are obviously very aware of what is going on and your memory is not affected therefore you remember your sober moments

but when your high ......
ooopps whaaa....... what happened?

stop getting high if you want to remember !

Yeah that's what I was going to say. Chronic smokers tend to confuse their stoned self with their sober self because they are stoned all the time. If you smoke weed every day and you have a bad memory it doesn't mean that smoking weed has fucked up your memory necessarily, it may just mean you're stoned.

I've smoked and drank absolutely absurd amounts over the past ten years and when I take a break, after a couple of days, I'm back to normal. I've known people who've smoked weed practically every day for fifty years who are the same way.

What you're talking about is more reflective of ageing than marijuana.

Memory never remains perfect.

Never had abnormal memory problems, even when I'm high. I always used to say that weed can wreck your short term memory, but your long term memory remains completely intact. Now that I smoke almost daily I don't even have problems with my short term memory.

I simply notice things from the past couple years being very blurry, it's hard to recall details of certain events, I'll watch movies and then watch them again a few months later thinking I never saw it, I often can't recall whether something happened earlier today or yesterday, etc.. Yes, yes, yes, I KNOW, stop smoking so much and it'll get better. I KNOW.

Don't remind me. :p

Am I reading this right ?!?!

Bee pollen ....?

What was that i was reading about neurotoxicity , and cell death ?? I thought it didn't do either of those, and memory problems those are just temporary while your still smoking regularly from what i read.
