Just a simple question....How big is the police presence in your town?

Dont give specifics of where you live at, state and region of the state is fine enough. I dont know the slang that ppl use all over but the easiest way i can put it is how hot is it where you live at. To me, a town thats real hot means that A. If there is a cop behind you, youll most likely get pulled over, and B, If you get pulled over, theres a very high chance of trouble, cops want to search you right away, etc.

How serious are the cops, how big is the risk to pass thru, how hard are they cracking down on drugs/dealers, etc?

some places are mad laid back, other ones , you are scared to even drive thru becuz the cops are so on top of shit and bloodthirsty for arrests. I know there is certain towns i refuse to pass thru anytime. And other ones that are nice and low key, where you dont feel like you gotta be lookin in your rearview every 5 seconds and heart pounding thru your chest the whole way til you leave the town.

So, whats your area like?
 
I'd say the heat is moderate in my city. There are relatively big raids on Cocaine/Crack rings a couple times a year and posession arrests daily in the shadier parts of town, but aside from that you don't have much to worry about unless you're being stupid.
 
Laid back. The cops are so oblivious to the happenings in my town its not even funny.
 
Yo here it is fuckin ON FIRE. Its disgusting. i get scared just drivin a mile to the gas station to get a pack of cigs. theres a special task force they just made and its all these undercover FBI type guys , its gettin serious up in here hard to breathe n shit. Im glad i dont sell or be involved with any kind of shit like that.

You cant even drive thru town at like noon without gettin harassed ....It aint like its only dangerous late at night or w/large groups of ppl or when youre lookin shady. they are out for blood. Its paranoia, 24/7. It gettin hot up in here thats fo sho. where im at is known all thru the county ATM as the spot to avoid unless u want to get questioned on the side of the road for a half hour only to see 2 more cops and a k-9 unit roll up, cuz your license plate was missing a screw and as soon as they seen you were under 35 they pulled you out the car. Fucked up.
 
There's a sheriffs deputy in the big house at the end of the block. That's about it, unless there's one clocking people who zoom through town. In the big town by here, though, that's a different story.
 
Depends on the night...

Weekends there's cops everywhere and weekdays well nothing.
 
cruisers have doubled if not tripled in the past few months but i never stress that shit because my car is clean and i'm white. i just don't look like or act like someone who would do drugs so i pass through screwfacin
 
U^^Lucky fool..... cant do that here....U can have a car 100% legit, not too old, but not too new to draw attention, and a make thats generic as hell (say like a ford taurus or a camry or a ford focus or some shit) use all your blinkers, all your lights workin right, everything copastetic, and you can still end up on the side of the road with a k-9 unit sniffin ur shit while the cop says "Now are you SURE there is nothing in this car!" I aint even playin. to these pigs goin to the store to get girl supplies is still shady, like you could be runing out to pick up your little sister and theyll grill the fuck outta ya if they pull ya."Oh YEA? Well WHAT are you doing at the BANK huh? Oh, you need MONEY? What do you need MONEY for? DRUGS? I bet youre goin to get drugs right now, you know what, im tired of this, get outta the car, right now!" its like tryna make it thru a videogame full of booby traps if you just want to go smoke a blunt with a friend for 20 minutes.
 
damn lacey, i feel for ya.

lately around here there have been big busts, lots getting arrested. the po po are really making their presence known. a little bird told me that all the sheriffs have to work overtime so thats why, but i dont know that to be fact or fiction, but they are definately out and about. not as bad as where you are though lacey. a couple weeks ago on backroads a friend and me passed 6 cops in about 20 mins, where normally you would be lucky to see 1 or 2 a week. sucks. fuckin pigs.
 
It's hot. On any given block in the hood they roll by every 15 minutes or so. Sometimes they park on busy corners or near current crime scenes. Shit, some blocks even have a Police RV parked on it!

They harass white people and out of staters a lot more than the local minorities though.

Although I do know where you're coming from I've been harassed "for being in the wrong neighborhood." Thats when you tell them you're working at the mission or food kitchen and they need to leave you the fuck alone. Works. Like. A. Charm.
 
Cops are on every block here but they are pretty oblivious as to what's going on. My friends and I have no problem ashin' a joint out the window in the middle of the day because half of em don't even know what it smells like.
 
well i live in 3rd world country and cops are evil here. they can ask people for search on street randomly but you have right to refuse it but if you dont let them search you, they have right to take you to the police station and search there (bullshit ha? lol).

usually street cops and patrols are nothing to do with drug shit here. they usually look for terrorists (street bombings are very common here) or burglary shit, there are a lot of thieves/lifters too. most of the street patrols take bribe when get busted with shit and let you go but if you get caught with a kilo of A4 explosive they definitely take you under custody lol.

also there are ghetto like places where almost everyone sell shit, usually Es, coke, weed etc. from time to time those ghettos get busted with hundreds of riot cops, narcs, patrols etc and they arrest hundreds of dealers on those busts.

cop violence and torture under custody is common too. cops dont like she-males and inhalant sniffers here - there are a lot of homeless children inhaling glue or thinner or shit like that on the streets.

well i dont know what to say else, you get the picture :)

also cops dont touch pharm shit here too, its very easy to buy opiates, benzos etc without a prescription here.

^^damn thats nuts. what country are you in? we think we have it bad, but nothing compared to what happens in 3rd world countries.
 
yeah, its def hot. just like philly the bmore pd have this giant RV "command unit" thing that sits around some of the dope strips. plus there are so many murders and violent crimes, they are one that shit more than the drug stuff. but since they are usually hand in hand, they are patroling for both.

they are lookin for out of staters, wqhite kids coppin, ect ect....when it comes to small stuff like weed many city cops will just take it and let u go. there is some big deal in baltimore about city cops not doing shit for small offense misdemeanors like smoking weed, open container on the street, shit like that.

im crazy paranoid tho, i think its the one thing that has kept me outta jail for the past ten years. if im sitting in a parking lot waiting for someone and i see a car pull up with a sketchy person in it i roll. i mean im really paranoid, i dont trust a lot of the ppl i know lol...when someone gets popped and they call me i automatically think im gettin set up....

the heat around here isnt too bad tho, they really do have bigger priorities like the 200 some murders we have had in the past 8 months

i forgot to add, one of the reasons the cops donmt hit the corners as hard anymore is because there are bluelight cameras all over the place. if uve ever been to bmore u know what im tlakion about. they ahve them in a lot fo other cities too, DC, philly i think, NY. they can see for blocks and are always running. its funny tho, they put them up on the hot blocks and the dope boys just move a street over out of view of the camera. when ppl PM me askin about dope spots in bmore, just check out the areas near the bluelights.
