how fast does heat destroy LSD?

for example, if i was in a hot tropical island, would the L last a few weeks wrapped in tin foil in a drawer?

Depends on what the conditions on your hot tropical island are.

A friend of mine once left a strip of LSD in his car by accident during the summer (it was in the car for 2-3 days) and when it was taken it was much, much less potent than the batch it had came from. It was stored in tin foil, but the car was sitting in the sun so I'm sure the temp was 120F + for a good amount of the time it was in there.

Excessive heat will degrade LSD.

we should add that to the facts provided to the governments so that they move their asses against global warming

the weather is around 80-90* F and pretty humid. Obviously it is not as hot as being trapped inside a car, but im sure it just being in a dark drawer is not helpful either

um....i would throw that shit in the fridge there buddy. wrap in in tin foil and your parents will never become suspicious:\

White Light White Heat....clear air?

If you fridge or freeze, put in an airtight mason jar, and wait 30 min. after taking it out to open it

What's the purpose of taking it out for 30 minutes prior?

It's pretty fragile stuff, would noticeably degrade, doubtfully below noticeable dosage. :\
Avoid heat/light/o2.

In my region (Phoenix, AZ) the summers get ridiculous, 120ish isn't uncommon for weeks. The quantity in circulation definitely takes a big hit, goes up again quite a bit for winter. And I doubt it would be necessary for it to keep for a few weeks.

If you take it out of the freezer and open it immediately, it will still be cold and that causes condensation. You know? The drops of water on the inside of a refridgerator? And that water is not good for your acid. That is the reason.

As for your initial question, it is impossible to say. In some conditions that include ambient temperatures acid seems to stay well for one or several years. In other situations something curiously went wrong and it could be any number of the factors: UV radiation (part of normal (sub)light), temperature, water (also the water in the air), and oxygen. The conspire together to destroy LSD.

Just to be sure put it in the fridge or freezer if you do not trip often, but find a dessicant to put beside it and put all of that inside a completely airtight container! It must really be closed off from the air. Otherwise: freezing condensation!

For other questions visit the LSD Storage Thread and continue there, you can find it through either the FAQ or the Index, there is event this particular question covered in the FAQ I made so I am not too keen on keeping open yet another thread. Thanks.
