Heart rate and stimulants

I have a question about heart rate and stimulants. After a cup of coffee and a cigarette, my heart rate will jump up to 108-110 bmp at resting. Is this unusual? Could this mean that stimulants could be dangerous for me to use?

Thanks

I was in the ER a couple days ago. I had taken stims that day and was in for a related reason. The doc specifically informed me that a rate under 120 is 'okay'. So, you should be fine. If it shoots up higher than that, THEN you should be a little concerned and maybe make a note/call a doc/triage nurse or something.

When you say "moving onto better stimulants" do you mean amphetamines like adderall, etc?

If so, then just be smart about them and take normal doses and you should be fine. Dont overdo stuff like that though, because then you really can fuck up your heart. Coffee and cigs are lightweight when you compare them to amphetamines.

Is right maybe let us know what stims you are going to use

I'm adhd and I also have tachycardia. have since childhood.
I take adderall xr.
At first, it sped up my heart and such but as my body got used to it, it actually slowed it down.

I don't think I'd feel comfortable saying you're 'in the clear' because I don't know anything (else) about your body and how it reacts to substances (stims).

It's a little odd that one would jump from cig/coffee to 'bigger and better' drugs. Start small, eh? I'd try low dose prescription stims first (LOW dose).

Yeah, Mephedrone and Amphetamine.

Mephedrone might be a very bad idea if you're already concerned about your heart, I've seen perfectly healthy individuals end up completely paranoid about their resting heart rate and visiting hospitals after a couple of sessions.

Mephedrone usually leaves me extremely sensible to spikes in heart rate up to a week after taking it, I mean something that normally wouldn't put a strain on me, makes my heart start pounding, my body over heat and my face turn red.

It's quite a toxic, nasty compounds, us here in the Old Continent have been learning that the hard way.

Any type of unneeded (unnatural) stimulation is bad for your heart. Listen to your intuition.

My main reason for not doing stimulants is because every time I have, my body and mind said 'Why?'. 'Too fast'. Stimulant use is living on borrowed time. There is no debating that. It ages by a higher percentage than average with every use.

K so me bein an EMT by proffession (and a drug enthusiast ;) } normal adult HR is 60-100bpm. This bein said just like B/p it can fluctuate depending on the persons diet, weight, excercise and other habits and med conditions. It's not abnormal for people (especially with tachycardia) to have HR upwards of 120-130. Anything higher than that for a long pd of time I'd possibly seek med attn. Keep in mind if u take adderall or anything ur hr will raise along with physical activity. Use ur judgement u kno ur body so if it's 130bpm but u feel fine just speedy u may be ok. Always error on the side of caution. My advice, find a benzo (Ativan/Xanax) I'd recommend and take it as u peak on the stim. It will slow ur HR negate the bad effects while keeping the enjoyable effects of w/e you take. Hope it helps!
