As some of might have read I experienced Ventricular Tachycardia and went to the ER from meth couple days ago.

ended up being OK and I dosed about .4 2 days later, well on my comedowns I always experience fast heart rate etc as normal with speed use but they go away within the next day.

This time its been 24+ hours and I still have heart palpitations? I've only slept about 2 hours & my bpm changes from 70 to about 100 since I dosed but when I lay down at times it'll automatically start beating in my stomach faster then there's times where its just beating in my chest?

Doc wrote on discharge report I could experience VT again and "die" if I used again but I wouldn't say its VT cause my hearts not fluttering (80-180bpm) like it did that day so I known its not that severe or that its that but I am concerned why the heart palpitations arnt going away?

I personally think its the common HP you experience from speed and not VT but just strange its not going away. Chest tightens at times, slight discomfort as well, could it be I haven't slept a good amount yet? I've ate a meal etc

Anyway yeah thanks guys just want opinions

I will add though I do have slight anxiety but I know I'm trippin out it is pounding fairly hard

Next time have benzos on hand man, not much else to say.
Also dose less, how quickly do you take .4 I hope not all at once : o

May I ask how you define heart palpitations? Or how you might describe what they feel like? I only ask as I have had these before but constantly argue with my mother who says she has them but describes them as a different sensation, which makes me wonder if this is a general term describing different things possibly for different people.

For me it feels like a combination of skipping a beat with a really strong beat afterwards. Like normal heartbeat and then suddenly this noticeably stronger or harder beat that occurs a little before the next scheduled beat.

For me palpitations often have nothing to do with a fast or accelerated heartbeat. Is this the feeling you are talking about or would you describe it differently?

Personally I have never gotten palpitations on meth, only faster heartbeat, but it never feels like its beating "harder" if that makes sense? In normal life however I am sometimes plagued by what i described and it seems unrelated to drug use and more to what i might have eaten.

So you used more methamphetamine after going to the hospital because of one of its common side effects? How about you do yourself a favor and not do it?

The only thing I can recommend at this point is go in if its bothering you that much.

A friend of mine seemed to be suffering from this condition as well. He seemed fine after he initial doses and was moving around as normal. It seemed after he was up for a few days hes suddenly is moving like a zombie. Imagine a very decrepit old man shuffling his feet one inch forwards at a time.

Is this an effect of someone trying to reduce their racing heart via discombobulated meth logic? Will it even do anything? Besides laying down are there any real treatments for meth induced heart issues. Is it possible to have a dangerous cardiac event hours after the bloodlevel/intensity peak of the meth?

Sorry for all the questions but it's a personally applicable as well as a fascinating subject..

Once the first dose wears off i always get bad heart rates and shit, due to comedown effects, thats what the comedown does. The first time i did meth i thought i was dying due to panic attack, inability to breath etc.

At least what im saying is that the heart rate or perception of it always gets a lot worse and feels fuked up as soon as any dose or binge wears off. I consider this normal comedown effects but still always worry if its the comedown or if i took to much. Always turned out to be coming down.

The worst heart issues I have ever experienced where taking Seroquel after coming down on Heroin, with still some in the system obviously. Ive only done heroin twice and made this same mistake both fukin times after forgetting. I thought i was going to die, no doubt about it, the worst stim heartrate feeling has nothing, nothing at all on that feeling. If that heart rate and "beat strength" hand continued for longer then 10 minutes i am certain it would have broken. I know you dont mix these now but not sure why it fuked my heart for 10 minutes so badly. Never make this mistake.

Well I slept and they went away finally after I knocked out from some Nyquil. Been sober past few days which sucks but I think my tolerance is just out of control nowadays so its time for a break. I have a .1 left I might do tomorrow but if my heart palpitations last longer than 24 hours tomorrow after only that small amount that VT I got is real & I'm stopping completely.

I've always experienced them like I said but not so intense like this past time? They did test said my heart looked normal so I don't know what it could be other than my doses required to get fully spun are so high now it probably just puts a lot of strain on my heart? Tolerance break forsure, sucks being sober but maybe its really time to cut back dramatically.

Honestly the heart palpitations I received felt EXACTLY like the Ventricular Tachycardia I got about a week ago EXCEPT I controlled my breathing & didn't try to force myself to breathe every 3 seconds (which I think is what made my heart flutter to the extremely high 178bpm in the ambulance) I think I just had a panic attack basically in the end. I could of probably avoided going to ICU in the end if I could of controlled myself. Anyway there gone for now been feeling fine,, If I do that .1 tomorrow and it comes back I'll know its a problem, if it doesn't it was probably my high dose so well see. Thanks for everyone who responded.

My mother and I get heart palpitations like I describe, never on drugs, but randomly. Many specialists over the years cannot explain what it is, everything looks perfect. Its for my mom, it occurs with certain foods and the explanation is that the stomach is pushing on the heart, which the heart guy says is bull. Who knows. I even got tubes down my throat years back for a few days to check. Hardly get it anymore and never on stims. In fact its weird on stims i cant even feel my heart, its like it isn't there anymore, even checking with the hand on chest or pulse.

When I smoked dope I never realized my heart either only since I started snorting. I did the .1 about an hour ago, heavily drinking I might add but absolutely no signs of heart palpitations. Haven't came down yet obviously but it wasn't a heroic dose either so who knows. The alcohol in my system is definitely playing a part without question but I feel fine so regardless I personally think its my dose. Good shit though alcohol makes me need less of a dose to feel my amphetamines anyway. I'm happy though no complaints here.
